Compote dishes for centerpieces

Laura K., on July 23, 2017 at 10:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I'm looking to get/make 30-35 compote dishes like this for my centerpieces. I would like them all to be clear glass and then I plan to paint them to look like mercury glass. I've found a few at garage sales but I'm not sure I will find enough. I am trying to be as budget friendly as possible and would love to hear suggestions or thoughts from others.

    Have you looked at Afloral?

If you are going to paint them anyhow, and budget is a concern, you can even use plastic ones. No one will know or care.

I love those but never knew what they were called! They're beautiful; that inspo picture is fabulous also!

Thanks for sharing the links, @muriel!

I've done the faux mecury glass. Spray paint sold at Walmart. I bought the glass bowls and candle sticks at dollar tree. Glued them together using glass glue. I also did jars that I use for pens on my desk at work. The bowl one I use for soaps on the rim of my tub.

@2ndtime1stwedding makes a very good point

You can get cut glass bowls and a candlestick. Glue them together with E6000 glue and paint as you wish (or even leave them clear)

If your local store doesn't have the stock you need, you can order online and pick up at your local store with no shipping charges.
