Confession time: have you ever actually re-worn a bridesmaid dress?

With the style of dresses changing over the years, it’s now a lot easier to re-wear a bridesmaid dress to another event! But let’s get real, have you ever actually re-worn a bridesmaid dress? Or does it just sit in your closet? Photo by Luxe Event Productions in Portland, OR More on bridesmaid...

Never. I've been in 5. One of the more recent weddings I was in, I bought the dress second hand for a fraction of the price and sold it less than a week after use.
I am more inclined to wear a dress shorter than a maxi (high low, ankle/tea length/ or knee length and if it isn't made of chiffon).
I got married in September and my best lady got to pick her own, only had to be a certain color (navy) and she was itching to wear it out weeks before our day.

Yes and no. When I was a teenager my mom shortened her dress from when she was MOH at my aunts wedding and I wore that to a few dances (simple black dress with separate top/skirt)

My bridesmaid dress from my friends wedding is just hanging in my closet. I adore it. It was a renfaire themed wedding and every year I try to find an excuse to wear it but the faire near me is in the summer and the dress in long-sleeve heavy cotton so it's just too hot Smiley sad (yes, I do have another outfit for faire Smiley laugh )

My dress from my sister's wedding was passed along to one of my mom's coworkers. She couldn't afford a dress for her daughter's 8th grade dance. The daughter was thrilled to get it.

I did wear a different bridesmaid dress out to an anniversary dinner with my husband.

At my first wedding, I let my MOH (sister) pick out any dress she liked. She definitely wore that dress a lot after that, as it was her go-to formal dress.

At my second wedding, my MOH wore a dress that she had previously worn as a BM in another wedding.

Yes, one was a navy blue velvet cocktail dress. I wore it for New Year’s one year and for a formal work event.

Once! I got an azazie dress that was beautiful and needed something super last minute to wear to a formal gala. Pulled it off. Smiley smile

Never, I just donate them pretty soon after. I have a couple that I liked still in my closet, but I typically don't go to events where a long gown is required.

Nope. I've only been in a bridal party a handful of times but the dresses each served that one purpose.

Nope! The only wedding I have been a BM in was my brother's. My SIL had us find dresses last minute so we ended up having to go with prom dresses that were impractical for anything besides their wedding Smiley smile It was a beautiful dress but we found it too last minute and did not have any time for alterations so it didn't fit as well as it could have. Oh well. The dress was perfect for that night but not for anything else! It also disappeared after I moved out of my Mom's house so definitely no chance of re-wearing it lol

No, I only have two. The one that I would wear again is a few sizes too small now.

I have all four of them hanging in my closet and I haven't worn them since the weddings!!! I've been meaning to take them to goodwill...

Yes! My girlfriends are pretty practical and asked us to get dresses that we can re-wear. I got Winslow Navy dress from Reformation (along with other bridesmaids) and have already worn it to another wedding (as a guest), I also wore it to a function at work. Highly recommend Reformation! Those dresses can be worn for many other occasions and will be worth the $$$

I wore one bridesmaid dress to a party one time. The party had a theme that was "Myths and Legends" and dress was my costume "The rewearable bridesmaid dress."

Yes. I had a dress that was a little black dress, which I was thankful for, and have worn it a few times and actually let other friends borrow it.

Yes! One dress the bride let ya pick out as long as it was long & burgundy. I wore that one several times!

Several others... never wore again. Too “bridesmaidsy.”

Definately not. first one was awful and the second although it was lovely it wasn't the type of dress you could re-use. My girls used them for dress up when they were little.

That's awesome! Especially with black dresses, I feel like there are so many occasions you can wear it again!
