That's actually a great idea to sell it after you wear it, that way you don't have to deal with it taking up space in your closet!

I've never been a bridesmaid, so no input there. .....but my MOH gets to reuse her beautiful dress from my wedding! Her other best friend is getting married next year and chose the same wedding color I had so she will wear the dress twice as a MOH. Smiley smile

Aww that was so sweet of you! I'm sure she was so excited to wear it, what kind of style dress was it?

That's awesome! It's always good to have one formal dress in your closet for times like that!

I'm glad it was perfect for that night! Sometimes you find the right dress for the wedding but it just doesn't work outside of that event!

Haha no! I had one that I hated so much, I balled it up and threw it in the trash the day after the wedding. Usually I just take them to goodwill after but that one had to go away immediately.

Two, out of about ten. One a light pink linen suit (my cousin asked that we just wear pink), and one a tan linen skirt and white linen shirt for my friend's St. John wedding. Knowing this, my bridesmaids are wearing simple navy linen dresses and they got to pick the style they wanted.

    NOPE.

I've been in seven weddings and all of the dresses were satin which screamed bridesmaid material. Funny enough, four of them were the exact same dress, just different colors.

It was a very early 90s Laura Ashley pink floral tea length beauty 😉. When the seamstress dropped it off at mom's office, her coworkers asked if it was my prom dress. Mom laughed and asked if it looked remotely like something I would choose (coworkers knew us). They were shocked that my parents would buy me another dress. Thankfully mom and dad completely understood.

I was a bridesmaid at 15 for an older cousin and used that dress for prom-- it was one of the nicest of the night; I was then a bridesmaid for another cousin years later and wore that dress to my H's cousin's wedding. I spent way tooo much money on those dresses to not give them an extra run. They are getting donated at this point though. I've also had dresses that I gave away the day after I had to wear them b/c they were not my style at all. For my wedding I picked dresses that could be worn again and were super cheap all my girls looked amazing and didn't spend more than $90.
