Confetti toss

Krista, on March 29, 2018 at 7:15 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 18
Who has done this or seen this done at the end of the ceremony? If you have, can you attempt to answer the following questions please.

1. Did everyone receive confetti?
2. What was the confetti in?
3. When was the confetti handed out?
4. Did wind super effect the outcome?
5. Did you like it??

We have found a lot of ideas on Pinterest but the actual Logistics seem difficult. Thanks!

Check with your venue to see if this is allowed. Many won't let you do it because of the clean up that no one seems to want to do.

We are doing dried lavendar. The venue will pass it all out after everyone is outside lined up. It looks just like confetti but it's better for the environment

My friend did dried hydrangea petals (bought in bulk on Etsy). She put them in little paper cones and her ushers had the cones in a basket and passed them around to the folks seated toward the inside of the aisle. It made for really beautiful photos!

It's something that our venue offers as an add-on package so pretty much what they do is they have the dried up lavender and flower petals chopped really fine in there in little baggies. I'm sure you could just chop up some potpourri or dried flower petals the same way really really fine and put them in little bags and have them pass them out

Bubbles can also pop on people's good clothes and leave marks.

Never experienced this problem personally. Have used bubbles pretty often. But I'll think about it.

We chose bubbles too! No mess and it doesn’t bother anyone.
OP- we went to a wedding where they did confetti and it got EVERYWHERE! Like the wind blew just as everyone tossed up and it was in our hair, people were spitting it out, it got in peoples eyes! Lol it was a mess. The one plus side was it did dissolve fast! Just something to consider.

We are having slow falling confetti. My fiance found it online for a pretty good price. It was actually less expensive than doing bubbles or dried flowers. Our church approved it as it is biodegradable. We ordered little white bags that cinch closed. They will be handed out as guests are walking out of the church waiting for us to come out. I am so super stoked to see the pictures of when it's falling.

I tested it a few times at home on windy days and on non-windy days. It falls about the same either way. It didn't take but a day or two for it disappear. : )

We are doing a dried flower confetti toss as we walk back down the aisle after being pronounced as newlyweds.

    1. No, only the 2 or 3 closest seats to the aisle

    2. Small cellophane bags with a "throw me" sticker on the front

    3. It was placed on seats prior to the ceremony

    4. N/A - not married yet Smiley smile

The logistics aren't super difficult, honestly. Just place the confetti on the seats closest to the aisle. Ask your officiant to announce the purpose of the confetti, and when it will be used at the beginning of the ceremony, that way guests will actually pay attention. I'm really excited for this! We found dried roses and lavender, and they smell amazing.
