Coozies or Personalized Cups

Ashtin , on June 11, 2018 at 11:10 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14

Looking for some opinions!! We are trying to decide if we should do personalized coozies or cups like the picture below as one of our favors for our guests!! We are having beer, wine, and signature drinks at the wedding. I hear some say the cups will get thrown away and other love them?? Any thoughts???

They are cute cups, however it is correct cups will get thrown away. I would go with coozies, people can stick in a purse at the end of the day. If cups are being used throughout the party, people will be hesitant to stick it in the purse if they are wet.

I personally wouldn’t take these home, nor a coozie. We don’t use coozies. However if you feel your crowd will love it, then perhaps it’s an option. Most guests leave personalized gifts, cups..

I agree with this. I would respectfully pass.

Honestly, in my experience both of those things get thrown away. In truth, when am I going to use a cup with someone elses name emblazoned on it again? And not all people even use koozies.

I agree with the other PP's. Edible favors are the way to go.

I don't take personalized favors either. I don't use plastic cups at my house and I don't use koozies either. I would save the money honestly, or use it towards a cookie bar or something that people will definitely want.

I would go with cookies of the selections you have. I have heard too many people will throw the cups away.

Disposable plastic cups are ------disposable. They are not a favor, especially if the guests are expected to use them during the reception. As the hosts, you are required to provide containers for drinks. Personalizing them does not turn them into a favor.

If you know your guests are koozie people, I would choose those.

I think favors are almost always a complete waste of money. No one is going to think more or less of you because you do or do not provide favors ( with a few cultural exceptions). We are putting that money towards wining and dining our guests.

You know your guests the best. That being said, honestly, my family would mostly likely leave either selection at the wedding or throw it out when we got home. Edible favors can’t be beat!

Personally, I have been to weddings that have had both. I have never used one of their koozies with their wedding date etc on it. But I have used cups, wine glasses occasionally ( had their date & name on it) around the house. Might just be me but I'm picky about my koozies and I'd rather not use one with someones wedding stuff on it.

I would take a koozie— I’m always down for some extras!
i would not take those cups home. They’re definitely cute...but like, cute for a disposable cup.

I got married on 6/2 and can say that our edible favor (a delicious frosted cookie from a local bakery) was a huge hit—we had less than 10 left behind!

We were thinking of koozies too, though, because our friends are big partiers and drinkers, LOL. I think a koozie would be better than a cup because people can stuff them in a pocket or purse if they’re going somewhere afterward to party!

I personally love cups and coozies I use both but I just prefer to drink out of plastic so when people have cups at weddings, I normally keep them! I can see many getting thrown away but I love them!
