Corona virus

May 8 wedding here... I see a lot of brides on here postponing their wedding due to the virus. I don’t even see how it’s possible with all the vendors already booked. Am I crazy for just pushing along like normal? I do not want to cancel! I understand some folks will not want to travel via airplane and may have a smaller then expected guest count. I’m hoping things will
settle down by then and everything will be just fine.
Am I crazy for thinking that?

I am going through the same thing right now. My wedding is April 25th and i am in Michigan. They just shut all our schools down. Im very un easy about what to do, gosh im even angry. After 2 1/2 years of planning and everything almost ready. Now this? everyone says wait dont make and decisions yet but its hard. My mom said just postpone closer to, but how do i reschedule all my vendors for the same day without it being a year from now.

My wedding is May 8th, too! I really don't want to cancel either, and as of now I am playing it by ear, and waiting to see if my venue or vendors say anything. But that might change depending on any new outcomes in the next couple weeks.

I am in the Chicago area, and they just basically banned all gatherings of 250 or more people until May 1st. Luckily my wedding is not that big, but who knows what will happen. At the moment, I am trying not to worry too much.

My wedding is also May 8 and it is a destination wedding. We have 54 guests right now.
I’m trying to stay calm and not panic. But honestly I’m very anxious.
Our niece had to cancel because she will be 8 months pregnant. Other than that we haven’t had other guests cancel- yet.I hope this crisis is under control by May 2, when we leave for FL.

Hi I know how frustrating this must be , it’s the last thing you want to hear from planning this entire time . Maybe take extra measures into account such as extra sanitation if needed that far ahead in the future

No, you’re not crazy. My wedding is April 5 in the Tampa/St. Pete area and I have been slowly losing my mind over the past week. I have been moving forward with wedding planning, knowing that I may have to cancel due to CDC recommendations such as the one that just came out recommending that all events with 50 or more people be canceled or postponed. I have key members of my family flying in from out of town, some of whom are older, so I really don’t want to take any chances. We have a back up plan, but I am very upset that I can’t stick with my initial date. We have been planning this for a year and I am heartbroken. But I do not want to put anybody’s health at risk, and I may not have a choice anyways for all of these restrictions. I definitely feel your pain.
