Hi ladies,

Out of curiosity, are you ladies postponing or cancelling your weddings? My fiancé and I were supposed to get married on April 18th, but three weeks ago we decided to move it to August 30th. Almost our entire guest list is able to make the new date (~120 people), but we’ll see when the time gets closer. I’m really hopeful about our new wedding date, and I’m praying every day that things start to improve as people comply with the new guidelines— I would be so happy to see some kind of normalcy by June. What are you ladies thinking about doing?

That was our wedding date too and we moved ours to July 17. Some days I think it will be ok by then but then other days I just don't know. I'm really just struggling with the uncertainty of everything. Good luck with everything. Smiley heart

June 13, 2020 bride here. We live in and are getting married in Georgia. The state just extended the shelter-in-place until May 13th which is only a month away from our date. It has prompted us to at least discuss postponing the big ceremony and maybe getting legally married at the courthouse in June. But I didn’t think about the courts still being closed as well. Idk what to do at this point but I’m mentally preparing myself to postpone. The most frustrating part is we’ve been ahead of the game and have most of our decor. A lot of the decor has June 13th on it, so I’m freaking out about redoing everything.

Ours is June 13 as well. If we postpone it might be September, October, or November. Idk if I can wait until 2021. This has already been a long process. Just ready to get it done

Correction: Shelter in place until April 30th in Georgia but still too close for comfort

Postponed my August 15th Wedding. I'm certain the day will still be impacted in some way and we cant risk that. We were very aware of making an early decision for a good date next year, which we now have. 1st May 2021 which is a Saturday and all vendors available. Me and my fiance live separately so even if the day could happen, we cant see each other during the weeks of lockdown so we lose out on so much planning and preparation. I'm devastated but also so relieved.

Hello! I just changed my wedding date from 08/22/2020 to next year 08/21/2021. Although I really didn't want to push it out that far, this virus is going to take some time to heal... both economically and mentally so we thought best to just wait.
We were thinking about just going to the courthouse and getting married on paper but I really don't want to do that either as I just want ONE DATE to celebrate for our wedding anniversary. So my thought is... love is love and what's another year right???
I guess this give me more time... plenty of time to plan, save money and have a dream wedding more than I planned!

My wedding date was July 18.2020 we postponed until next year July 18,2021. To much stress right now. I feel so much relief making that decision, I still had a-lot of things that needed to be done and I felt like my wedding was going to be rushed

Let’s pray together because we moved ours to September 5th from originally being May 9th. I’m hoping we don’t have to move it again or cancel completely. Trying to remain positive. 🙏

We’ve got this lady! Let’s continue to pray and think positive! The White House doctor just said he thinks schools will reopen in the fall so I’m taking that as a good sign! 🤞🏼🙏🏼

We had already postponed (our date was supposed to be in January, but other things got in the way). We were looking at late summer, but with the chaos in the world, pushed it further to next Valentine's day. This is a 2nd marriage for both of us, and we both had the huge wedding in late summer the 1st time. We preferred the idea of a winter wedding and our colors are dark red, black, and ivory, so Valentine's fits. I really think you're fine with August. Good luck!

Just postponed from June 14 to August 9. Heart is broken but I am grateful that we will still get our special day.
