Hi ladies,

Out of curiosity, are you ladies postponing or cancelling your weddings? My fiancé and I were supposed to get married on April 18th, but three weeks ago we decided to move it to August 30th. Almost our entire guest list is able to make the new date (~120 people), but we’ll see when the time gets closer. I’m really hopeful about our new wedding date, and I’m praying every day that things start to improve as people comply with the new guidelines— I would be so happy to see some kind of normalcy by June. What are you ladies thinking about doing?

Glad to see somebody talking about this. We’ve had our wedding date set on July 23 since we got engaged. But I don’t know what to do. We’ve been playing it by ear so far but I don’t know what to do..

I am in a similar boat, except ours is July 11... I see a lot of people postponing to August, so that makes me hopeful July will be okay... BUT, if we send invites in May, and the social distancing date is pushed into May, then I wouldn’t feel comfortable sending invites out... with my fiancé’s schedule, we would need to postpone to 2021, and we wouldn’t have a date so we’re worried we will have to cancel completely... pretty much just holding off on more planning until May. 🤯

Congratulations! Our wedding is October 24 and we’re leaning towards postponing till 2021. If anything we’ll get married via justice Of the peace . Two years of planning, but as long as get married I’ll be happy! But be happy with your decision.

Our wedding is suppose to be on August 8th. We just decided today to postpone until May 2021. It really sucks but it makes the most sense. I’ve spent so much time, effort and money on this wedding that I want to do it right, and would rather do it at a time when it’s safer than it is now. I cried all day, it was heartbreaking but I can’t imagine going from not being able to stand next to someone less than 6 ft today and then a full blown party with 200 people in 3 months. On the bright side, it gives us one more year of engagement bliss and more time to plan!

We’re eloping in Jamaica Sept 19. At this point I just want to postpone but it will cost me money. Jamaica is on full lockdown. No flights and the hotel I booked is closed until when it’s safe. I read an article saying that they don’t believe the island will be open for tourism until September. This is just all so unreal.

Me! August 15. I guess it all depends which state we live in, if the ban of gatherings will be lifted or not. I can’t believe this is happening. I don’t know what to do, I’m just really sad.

My date is August 15th as well! What state do you live in? I'm in Massachusetts and getting married in Maine, so crossing my fingers conditions will be safe enough for bans to begin to lift in May. You're not alone! Do you have a Plan B in place, or are you waiting it out for now?

I’m also in Mass! We are getting married in Topsfield. We don’t have a plan B set, but we’ve been discussing what we are going to do if we can’t get married at our venue on the 15th. I don’t think I can postpone the whole thing a year out, we’ve been engaged for 17 months already. So we are going to still get married on our original date regardless but it’s just so sad to think that we won’t have our dream wedding at our venue with all of our loving guests and plans that we had Smiley sad what are you planning to do? Have you and your partner discussed a back up plan?

We postponed. It sucks and it’s weighing on me but I think it’s for the best of family and friends and it breaks my heart. But it’ll work out

We're in the same situation. Our wedding date is September 13th and it's really tough not knowing what the future holds. It will be a tough decision to make and it sucks that we feel like we have to wait for more information to make it.

Agreed completely. NO ONE can know what’s going to happen which makes it so hard to make a decision!

Hey girl I’m so so sorry this is happening so close to your date . I would postpone or do a smaller ceremony and then have a reception at a later date . If you want to keep the original set up see if your vendors can change it to maybe mid June I believe things should return to normal at that time but life happens. Prayers

Only my wedding band, they charged us $500 to change the date, mad at the situation but happy they are available for the new date.

Mine was supposed to be June 6th and we just rescheduled to the same date (August 30th)!
Hoping most people can still come to ours! I’ll be mailing out a “save our new date” card this week

    Hi,
We are getting married July 11th. We have not canceled anything at this point. If the social distancing is still going then we have decided to do a small wedding ceremony in our backyard. We are in Pennsylvania.
