Hi ladies,

Out of curiosity, are you ladies postponing or cancelling your weddings? My fiancé and I were supposed to get married on April 18th, but three weeks ago we decided to move it to August 30th. Almost our entire guest list is able to make the new date (~120 people), but we’ll see when the time gets closer. I’m really hopeful about our new wedding date, and I’m praying every day that things start to improve as people comply with the new guidelines— I would be so happy to see some kind of normalcy by June. What are you ladies thinking about doing?

Me and my fiancé are going to the justice of the peace when everything opens back up and rescheduling the big wedding for next year on the same day so everyone can make it.

My vendors won't let me change my date within 120 days of the event unless the virus actually cancels it, then they will do a goodwill date change with no charge. Ok... but when do we call it? I live in Wisconsin, our Stay at Home order just got extended until May 26th. My wedding is July 31st.

We were also supposed to get married on April 18th, but decided about 3 weeks ago to postpone. I still wanted a Saturday in 2020 if possible, where we could still have the same venue and vendors, thankfully it worked out and we are now getting married on Saturday, October 31st, 2020. Happy Halloween!

Same. Mine is July 31st. I'm so lost. Don't even know when, or if, I should send out wedding invites, which are all printed up sitting on my dining room table.

I'm an August bride and I'm a nervous wreck thinking about having to possibly postpone. This was supposed to be a time of excitement and celebration, and it's definitely not that at the moment.

We need to make sure everyone we know follows the guidelines! This mess would be over so much sooner if people actually did what they were supposed to... Don't touch your face with unwashed hands, cough/sneeze into your elbow, stay home unless it's essential.

If my wedding gets ruined because of lazy/entitled/ignorant people, I'm going to flip out.

Good luck on your new date!! I think COVID will calm down for summer but may still have the more at risk population be super careful especially traveling. I believe we will see a rise of it again in the fall and through the winter before truly getting a hold on it. May be next summer before we can have bigger gatherings. But what do I know? Just guessing here. Crossing my fingers for you!

Our wedding is in October. We're six months out. We have until 90 days before the wedding to change the date. I've spoken with all our vendors and we know we will have enough time to move everything if need be. My partner's entire family lives out of state. Mine live here. But our entire wedding party is out of state as well. A lot of my partner's family have health issues. So we've decided that if it looks like travel and gathering restrictions will be a problem and things dont start looking up by mid-july, we will push it back to next March and make that work. We dont want to do that, but we will have to. We don't want his family to miss out. But at the same time, we don't want to risk getting shut down or people risking getting ill even if things are looking up. We will see. He doesn't want to push it, because he wants his grandpa there and we dont know how much time we will have left with him.

My wedding is supposed to be August 7. Just nervous with paying for vendors and finalizing things because if we are still in this pandemic not all vendors are working with clients. I know two weddings who lost money because of this. My dress isnt coming so now I doing at home try outs but still nerve wrecking and worrisome.

Smiley heart I wouldn't listen to what "they say." I am an ER nurse and "they said" we would be overflowing with patients by now in my state and running out of beds and we aren't even close to that, and now "they say" we may not get a surge at all. Where is this "fall 2021" projection coming from? No one knows for sure that there is going to be a second wave, either. You should only make big decisions with info directly from the CDC and try to tune out the rest of "them." I would agree with waiting a few more weeks once some states start lifting shelter in place orders to see how we are going to ease back into normalcy. Don't lose hope!Smiley heart

June 6th wedding I sent out my invites and ordered my favors that have the date on them for our destination wedding at the beach. We just postponed until next summer. So stressful with all of this going on.
I hope your August wedding works out

We moved it to next year, Having a June wedding is cutting it too close to the cooties for us especially with our son being more at risk. Plus, my fiance got furloughed until further notice. So we just thought it was just better all around to move it to June of next year. It sucks, but our hope is that everyone will come and have a good time and not be stressed.....

Ours was supposed to be May 30th but we've come to the realization that won't happen. We're not going to set another date until we are sure everything clears. I couldn't bear the thought of anyone getting sick or worse trying to attend our wedding. I have 7 relatives in 3 different states that either have/had symptoms, tested positive and 1 who died. I'm going to contact my vendors tomorrow and ask them if they will just keep all our payments and we reschedule for a future date when this all clears or to refund my money if they don't want to do it that way.
