Hi all! I live on the east coast and am having a destination wedding in Sedona, AZ on August 29, 2021. I am hoping that Covid-19 is a non-issue by that point, but it can be hard to say with certainty.
We are getting ready to send save the dates and I’m wondering whether I should include a note on the back of them about Covid-19. Since my wedding is a destination wedding, my worst fear is that people get excited, go ahead and book travel when the get the save the date, and then are stuck with the cost if we have to move/cancel. People have already asked about booking, so I think everyone is just excited and ready to travel after all of this honestly.
The note I’m considering adding basically says that our wedding is on, but we will be taking Covid-19 seriously, which could mean moving/canceling our wedding if things are not better, and that we would advise waiting till spring to book travel, or if you really want to book travel now, to ensure travel companies have a good cancellation policy.
My fiancé thinks save the dates might not be the best place for that. What do you all think? Is there a better way to communicate that?
Thanks!
