So my wedding is May 2nd and i'm just so bummed out I feel like this whole Coronavirus outbreak is going to ruin my wedding Smiley sad I have one bachelorette party scheduled for March 21st that might get canceled and another in April that I feel is heading that way. Is anyone else's wedding planning being affected by this virus? I'm a bummed and hoping everything goes smooth but I can't help but freak out a bit.

Yes this exactly. Hopefully everything goes well for you guys!!! I'm just going to hope things calm down a little and people stop panicking quite so much. It's really a big hype - just be smart not over cautious.

Omg my wedding is May 2nd also! Starting to freak out about it. I'm supposed to take in my dress for alterations this Saturday but not sure of I should! It's a 4 week turn around according to David's bridal and I'm just scared it won't be done on time in case of staff shortage bc of coronavirus 😭 anyone else this close that hasn't had alterations yet?

I'm really trying to remain calm... but it's so hard!!! I've actually already had my final fitting I pick up my dress in two weeks. I feel you'll be fine! Just go to your fitting Saturday and you'll have plenty of time. Are you planning on having a big wedding?

My wedding is 5/3 and I didn’t get my dress yet. It isn’t coming until early April. So it’s going to be pretty tight timelines....

I’m super worried my wedding is 5/3/20. We have about 15% of our wedding traveling in. Some elderly like my fiancé’s dad who has pre existing conditions. His best man and groomsmen has to travel in. Not sure if what to do we are thinking of postponing.. some of our important guest have to take a place to come and we’re not sure it’s safe or if they will want to take the risk.,, ughhhhhhh so frustrated

I called David's bridal to make sure, they said that I will have my dress by the day it's promised and that there's nothing to worry about. If anything I'm at least glad it doesn't get sent out and stays in house. I have about 140 invited, all are from the area and includes kids, just a few seem a bit worried so far, we'll see. The reception will be held at a restaurant and they don't seem to be worried. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 we're in the DC area. I hope everything turns out great for you!

My wedding is next Sat March 21st and I’ve been so
defeated. We’ve had 7 cancellations after making our final payment with 4 being due to the virus. I feel like it gets worse day by day and I am so sad to not fully be able to enjoy these last couple weeks. On top of it, its supposed to rain after having the driest Jan and Feb and now we get this rain. Ugh!!

Im getting married on 5/2 too! Ive been feeling defeated all this week. Im having a destination wedding in Miami and about 80% of the guests need to fly in... all the big payments are due at the end of March, so I guess we will have to see what happens. I cant even focus on how to decorate the venue anymore! And we still have a lot to do, like picking our wedding entrance songs, deciding on the flowers, etc. I am so stressed. Sigh

My wedding is supposed to be 4/16- I’ve been in tears through out the day. The number of cases in my state has doubled in just the past 24 hours alone...

Everyone’s telling me to not worry about it, and that it'll be okay. 70% of our guests are from out of town. I’m just SO upset the day I pictured being surrounded by many of the people I love so much will likely not happen that way, if at all.
I’ve put SO much time and money and effort into this wedding and it could very well be for nothing if it gets to the point our venue shuts down and cancels on us, all because this panic is getting out of hand... 😢
I wish all you ladies luck and that this hopefully calms down within the next few weeks, but... 😞

Ahhh I have been trying not to think about all this extra stress of corona... but I am starting to have panic attacks! My wedding is estimayed at about 100 and every guest is flying from across the country except my parents! Wedding not till July 4th but I feel as though this is spooking my guests because rsvp cards have literally halted. We have people coming from Boston, LA, Seattle, Dallas, San Antonio, Providence, Philadelphia, Bermuda, Toronto, Maine, Chicago, and so on. I have been frantically looking for "any reason" wedding cancellation insurance and can't find it! I found one last week so I know they exist.. but now when I'm actually serious about it, can't find it! Help?

My bachelorette party is in Austin for memorial day weekend and one of my bridesmaids told me her work won't let her travel to an "state of emergency" cities. And my fiances bachelor party to Mexico might be canceled. I'm just praying for all this to go away!! Weddings are stressful enough as it is....

My wedding is also March 21st and I'm right there with you! My family is wanting to reschedule, but my fiance's family doesn't, mainly because most of them are from out of town and don't think it's serious enough to cancel plans. This is a nightmare. As if planning a wedding isn't stressful enough, I'm being pulled in two directions Smiley sad

In a similar boat. My wedding is May 23rd in CLT. And my bachelorette is March 26-29 in New Orleans. As of right now I’m still keeping all events and just keeping up with good hygiene. If any people choose to not come I respect their decision but I’m not stopping my life.

I completely agree. The wedding is about you and your FH - getting married is the most important part of the wedding.

Oy, can this happen at a worse time???? Weddings not till July but were flying from Oregon and Washington to be near my family in NY. With his 81 year old dad. So I can be walked down the isle by my dad who is in remission from lung cancer. Then honeymooning with FH kids in nyc. I waited 10 years for him to propose. My stepdaughters school is closed because of outbreaks at her school, it feels very real for us. I just dont want to be irresponsible bringing his elderly dad on a plane. I guess after 10 years what's another year to wait but all vendors are booked, flights booked, (no cancellations allowed just yet) and........ugh. I dont know if I'm being overly cautious Bout the health of our families but it would be devastating if something did happen. I realize some guests might cancel, and that's ok as long as our immediate families are there. This event was to finally bring our 2 coasts together, for my dad to meet my step kids I've been raising for a decade, and for the kids to see where I came from, meet their new cousins. I'm not making decisions just yet......ugh!!!!!

I’m totally freaking out! My wedding is April 26th and my bachelorette (in Canada) was already cancelled today because my girls don’t want to go out of country and our flights are not refundable even with insurance. Now I’m thinking out of state guests are going to cancel! I wanna vomit I’m so stressed!

Wedding in two days and it has been an ongoing nightmare. Best man cannot make it bc he is sick. We have had cancellations almost everyday. Our families are trying keep us calm and happy but it’s been getting harder. It’s not an option to reschedule since my family is out of town and they already spent so much money coming here. I don’t even know if we will have guests or guests who would want to dance. I am thinking of having an abbreviate wedding and just just have the ceremony, cocktail hour and then dinner and music. No dancing so people can just leave early. We should have just had a courthouse wedding and saved so much money. I am devastated.

My wedding is also May 2nd! I have a bridal shower in 2 weeks but I also have family flying in for the wedding and am going to Greece for honeymoon. I don’t know what is going to happen with the bridal shower because it will be at a restaurant on a day they do a really nice brunch and idk what is going to happen with my out of state guests or honeymoon! I’m really hoping by the end of this month this all will start to die down and get better! I’m in the same boat as you and hope it goes well for both of us!

My bridal shower is also in two weeks Smiley sad as of now that's still happening. My bachelorette weekend is happening April 17th and like you I hope this all starts to die down as well. Yesterday when I got home after work I just let it all out (and felt a little better) lol my fiance is concerned as well so that makes me worry even more. He's usually the positive one for eveyrthing i'm always negative Nancy but ugh this is just getting worse by the minute.

I"m in CT too and my wedding isn't until September but I can't help but be anxious about it. My fiance is a firefighter and EMT and I used to be an EMT so I"m using my knowledge to keep me as calm as possible but then when I'm at work or on the train, I panic!! UGH.
