Coronavirus=pure Panic

My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

    My wedding is May 23rd and canceling has not crossed my mind yet. If by April 1st there’s no resolution on this, then maybe then I will considering postponing.

    My wedding is in 2 weeks March 28 & I haven’t stopped crying in panic and asking why bc I don’t know how this could get any better by then and my grandparents and our older people cannot see our most special day if it even happen.

    Unfortunately I have heard from someone who works crunching numbers on national level for pandemics and such that this is not going away. My wedding is 05/23/20 and he said it is likely I will need to cancel my reception and limit the ceremony to immediate family only. Praying for good news for both of us 💜 And good luck!

    My wedding was on 4/4 and I just had to postpone and replan my entire event. It is a nightmare. I just wanted to get through hurricane season. I never could have imagined this.

    My wedding was supposed to be May 2nd, but we decided and were able to postpone until August 29th, luckily all of my vendors and venue were awesome and available, so it will be everything we planned just a few months later!

    Well you wait for your babies. As a mother I totally understand. I waited 16 years so a day a week a month extra is over whelming but I will wait. A TOTALLY EXTREME BLESAING WILL BE BEHIND THAT.

    My wedding is April 4, 2020 in Miami Beach - I totally understand as ours is also a destination and I worry about people flying. I initially only planned for less than 90 people and we currently have 82 attending from all of our RSVPs. I am hopeful that no one drops out; though, it's to be expected. We initially planned our honeymoon April 6th through the 12th in the Grand Cayman island. I heard today that the hospitals are closed there, so we've decided to postpone our honeymoon until May 26th through June 2nd. It's still close enough where will be very excited to go on our honeymoon and celebrate us as a couple together!

    Hopefully, this all passes! Smiley smile

    My wedding is scheduled for 5/16 and my fiance and I are extremely stressed as well. The best advice we can offer is contact your venue and vendors to find out about your options. Develop 3 plans just in case you have to reduce, postpone or cancel.

    By the way, this is Erica, the bride commenting , not my fiancé, Chris, who set up our site.

    Same here! Wedding is 4/26. I’m a nurse and I agree with everything you said. We’ve are speaking to our venue tomorrow to make a plan. I have no intention to push our wedding date. I want to get married on April 26th! But, we may push the reception. We are supposed to leave for Belize on the 30th and I guess that will be postponed as well. I briefly cried today, but my fiancé took me out for dinner and a margarita and I felt better about our options. Even if people did still want to come (all of our families are coming from out of town), I don’t want to feel responsible for anyone getting sick. Just wanted to reply to you because our stories and reactions are so similar. Good luck!!

    My wedding is May 23 a destination wedding in Hawaii. My fiancé and I have talked about the possibility of cancelling, and I am not okay with that idea. Especially going through the process of cancelling/rescheduling everything, I probably should reach out to vendors to see the options just in case. I am holding out hope that this will be blown over by then! Where are you located?

    We live 10 minutes down the road from the Blue Bell country club. I know all of this is awful. Even though government shutdown may not be in effect those loved ones who are older or have a compromised immune system still won’t come I know it.

    Completely agreed, having this supportive community is one of the few things holding me together right now.

    I’m working on plan B and plan C. Just feeling so overwhelmed. We shouldn’t have to worry about this right now. Just trying to remind myself I’m lucky we’re not struggling directly with the effects of this virus.
