Coronavirus=pure Panic

My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

    My wedding is 3/28.. just 13 days. The fiancé is freaking out and wanting to postpone as his dad and 5 very close friends are all out of state. I’m worried about money and all the time spent being wasted. On the same hand, my heart feels selfish asking people to put themselves at risk for us. Our venue is a public park and what happens if 1 day before they close it down. I’m so very torn and saddened. I know we’re incredibly lucky to just be healthy and safe right now, but i can’t help but feel why me, why us, why now. I don’t know what to do.

    Dallas has already closed many parks and museums and courthouses. I would expect other cities to follow suit. I'm so sorry. We'll get through this!

    4.4.2020 Whoot! Getting married rain or shine, virus or not. The people that care to be there will make it happen. Supposed to go to Greece 4.6.2020. Probably going to have to reschedule. Sucks. But not the actual end of the world and I get to marry my best friend. Good luck guys!

    I’m the same date 5/2/20! I’m so sick over all of this and I’ve been bursting into tears at least twice a day. Luckily my wedding is local as are most guests but it just seems like every day there is worse news. I’m just worried the whole state will go into lockdown 😭

    Freaking out along with you. Mine is may 12 at a winery and the governor just called for all wineries and bars to be closed.

    My wedding is 4/4/20 locally, however schools are closed, bars, casinos and now with the recent recommendation released by the cdc of no gatherings more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks I’m sure our venue is going to be prepared to postpone. This is very sad for and extremely stressful for all brides but I can’t see having the wedding with several older or elderly relatives not being able to attend. The phone calls to make is going to be endless but we’ll get through it

    My fiancé is worried about money as well as everyone has a right to be but with the new recommendations from the cdc I don’t see how many venues, parks, anywhere will allow a crowd over 50 or maybe even less. We are supposed to be married 4/4/20 but i don’t want to put anyone at risk, especially not our children that will be there and our elderly relatives. We can get through this, this too shall pass. Feel free to message me anytime.

    My wedding date is 5/30.. I live in New York and as you can all image it is complete chaos here. Our wedding is in Connecticut but most of our guests are coming from New York. We don’t know what to do. The news is now saying gatherings 50+ are unsafe.. including weddings. We have to make calls to our venue and all vendors ASAP to figure out alternative dates. This is such a stressful situation for all of us and I wish everyone the absolute best.

    My date is 4/17/2020. I’m numb. I don’t know what to do and feel very overwhelmed at the moment. So much time and money has been put into planning and we are a month away. How is this happening.

    We are in The process of plan B and plan C preparation as we just saw that the CDC released a new restriction with events over 50 people for the next 8 weeks. Our date is 04/18/2020 and unless everyone chills I doubt we will be able to throw the wedding that we were supposed to have. I think our plans right now, if everyone is still freaking out, are to have a small ceremony with just family and friends and then throw a larger reception later in the year (if we can afford it 🤦🏼‍♀️) or just getting courthouse married then push the religious ceremony and reception for later in the year. Honestly so frustrating trying to try and plan a completely new event under a month. So blessed that many of our vendors are being extremely kind right now and working with us. http://social.techcrunch.com/2020/03/15/cdc-issues-new-guidance-against-gatherings-of-50-or-more-people-for-the-next-8-weeks/

    Mine was 4/25, now I postponed everything to 7/11. Just contact your venue first, I believe they all understand the situation and will be flexible as well. Don’t panic, we can go thru this!

    As our other bride-sisters have said...take a moment and just breathe....in....and out....and twerk a lil to your favorite song to bring that gorgeous smile back to your face. You're a blushing bride and your day shall be fabulous. :-) So, while I agree that by the time your big day rolls around, a solution will have been reached with this pandemic...however, in the meanwhile, brainstorm some things that can help you and your guests feel at ease in attending... perhaps pocketsize sanitizers at each table, in the lobby or entrance area of your ceremony? One of my clients who got married in what she called the dead of winter one time had a very interesting way of making sure people weren't germy at her ceremony: beautifully decorated bottles of sanitizer at each reception table. (She's a hobby lobby girl and pulled it off beautifully) Each bottle was a beautiful decadent gold with a ribbon tied around her bottle (the color matched her wedding colors), and a cute little card for instructions. She assumed that because their families were from the warmer states that getting married at Niagara Falls would send people's bodies into shock during the winter and people would get sick...and so she wanted to combat that as best she could without offending anyone. She also had baskets of white socks for her guests to keep their feet warm if they took their shoes off to dance on the dance floor. LOL It was super cute but I think it helped...and people seemed to appreciate it.
