My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

We are 5/15 and also in Montgomery County PA. We are holding tight for right now. We would like to at least get married and if need be move the reception.

we are booked to fly to Aruba on 5/17, hoping they are letting people in.

we got wedding insurance, but not vacation insurance. sigh.

    who would've thought???

Keep the faith, praying for all of us Smiley heart Smiley heart

I am so sorry for everyone's weddings that are being effected right now. Wedding planning is already stressful enough without the added pressure and confusion of potentially having to reschedule. I am a Bride + Groom coach and I am offering a free 60 minute session if you, your partner (or your vendors!) need extra support right now. Email me if you would like to learn more: ********@**************.***. I look forward to hearing from you!

Likewise. 4/18/20. We were torn on what to do and today the decision was made for us. 😔 Our venue cancelled. Over a year of planning and lots of $. Heartbreaking. I empathize for sure!

Just made the decision to move our April 24th to August 28th. It was very, very tough but I felt a million times better after. We're so lucky because all of our vendors can still do the new day. I don't have an emotional attachment to the new day (yet), April 24th was my Gramma's birthday. My aunt said gram wants me to have my own day. I know it sounds silly but that really settled my heart about the change. Love and good luck to you!

I dont know if I replied to this thread already, but our wedding is in Montgomery County too! Our original date was May 29th and we officially postponed. Yeah we're upset but we feel so relieved that we did. Hopefully things will be better and these strict measures will do its job right now. We wanted to be safe than sorry before our invites were gonna go out next week.

Our wedding was/is tomorrow, 3/20/20. Our ceremony venue cancelled on us a week before the wedding and our money was refunded. The reception sight allowed for the ceremony but with extremely limited guidelines and serving options that are forcing us to postpone. The honeymoon cruise was cancelled by the cruise line.

We have Jesus to see us through!!! Thank God! We are having a very small intimate ceremony tomorrow at a family owned church and will celebrate our wedding/reception with family and loved ones at a later date.
Thankfully, all of our vendors worked with us except the florist because the flowers were already ordered. So now we have a ton for flowers that we can do almost nothing with.
All that being said, I am getting married to my best friend tomorrow...that is what matters most!

My wedding is 5/10/20. 95% of our guest are from out of town, even though 80% are in the same state, it’s still at least a 5 hour drive for them. My Fiancé’s family is flying in from out of the country. His family is small so we’d hate for them to not be able to make it. We’re concerned for everyone’s health so we’ve decided to postpone. Date is TBD but because our venue is a flower garden, it might be postponed to next year. We've already gotten our marriage license and don’t want to lose out on the $ we paid for it so we’ll probably get married on paper and still do the ceremony and reception later. Not sure how it'll work now if courts are closed and we're all quarantined.

We postponed our 4/24/20 wedding to 9/25/20. We thought it was best because it will not get any better any time soon.

So I know some of yall are like pushing the date, some are still goin ahead with the date and then party/renewal later, and whatnot. so here's what we've discussed and decided, if we are affected by this, we will completely postpone til our families and friends can come out for it, we want them there (esp cause his parents are hugely affected by the no fly, they are in ireland). Our date is 6.20.20, and the more and more weve discussed it, the more I realize we are talking as if we've already moved our wedding. So I gotta ask, do you think it's crazy to decide to move it as of rn, like should we wait to make that final choice til april15th or just do it now? It should not be a part of our wedding planning, but here we are and now we're just trying to figure out do we just play it safe and push it back now? Or wait a few weeks and see?

I'm in this boat, mine is May 23rd. But try to stay optimistic. If you have to postpone, you can change anything you wanted to do the first time but didn't. For me, the finances had me uneasy. But if I cancel, maybe I'll have a small ceremony and no reception and save money. It all comes with sacrifices, but expectation is the root of suffering. So just go with the flow~

Arkansas planned on May 23rd at Mt Nebo state park. The state park system has contacted me trying to persuade me to postponing but not (clearly stated YET) forcing me to cancel. Luckily they’ve said I can get all $ back currently b/c circumstances. I’m sorry to those who can’t get venues to work with them on refunding! I’m very low key, low maintenance, and behind on my plans so I’m using it as silver lining to plan the rest w/o stressin Smiley smile but it sucks to wonder when things will die down, how over crowded will venues become w/double the number of weddings, etc.

I have heard that this mutant virus COVID19 is able to survive despite warm and humid weather.
