Coronavirus=pure Panic

My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

    The engraved items I will keep as is. I bought a unity candle with April 9th on it and I have no plans on changing that either. The labels for the guest favors I have considered changing the date depending on how things go. People will definitely understand the symbolism of your original date and all the effort that went into planning for that day. It should be remembered! I’m in Florida and even though things are crazy here and everywhere I am praying for you all in NYC. I’m hoping we see improvement as the temperatures get warmer.

    Thank you so much! I'm wishing you all the best as well! My favors and programs also have original dates! I had sent them to be personalized so I really don't want to reorder all of that... lol

    I'm totally freaking out our wedding is 5/27/2020 in vegas. I'm not officially making any changes until I really have to I want to wait as long as possible, but I'm still thinking about what to do if we have to reschedule 😔. This sucks!

    My wedding date was 5/2/20 also. Our county has closed all non-essential businesses through the end of April (for now). We just made the announcement to all of our guests that we are postponing the wedding until October. Luckily, all of our vendors are able to meet the new date and all money's paid will be transferred over to the new date. I'm just adding a little fall color flowers in our bouquets and table arrangements. But otherwise, all my plans, etc... will still be the same as planned. It's a total bummer to have to do this this but it is best because we don't want our family and friends to risk their health to come out and support us on our big day if we left it for May 2nd.... we decided to get everyone's email addresses and will send out the second invitations online to save money. Plus, they can RSVP online also.

    Good luck other brides! I know how stressful this has been for me as well... Breath, breath... and this too shall pass! :-)

    Erin, I'm so sorry!!! I got on here to join the heartbroken brides bc I'm one too. Mine was 5/2/20. Wishing you the best. It's so sad all of the love and dreams coming true that were put into this....now they are all just blagh.

    Mmmmm. Amen!!!! I don't know what I'm going to do yet for our wedding but I agree. I will not change the dates on anything. I like what you said about symbolism. Thank you.

    We already have may 30 2020 on a lot of things and are planning on keeping those. We're now thinking of a very small gathering and getting married that day but postponing the ceremony a year. Luckily we only have hotel and catering as vendors so it will be easy to move.

    I was supposed to get married in Vegas on 4/14. Due to the virus they called me and told me that they were cancelling and were going to be closed for awhile. I was still able to get a full refund. Maybe try shooting an email?

    I think because our wedding isnt scheduled until 6/17, they are holding off. But family, my mom, have already decided they aren't comming. I still have venues and others reaching out on here. But nothing from MGM

    My wedding is 5/6 in Mexico 😬 honestly, I’m just taking it day by day! I do have a back up plan if we aren’t able to travel by then! But I’m hoping things will calm down by then 🤞🏽🤞🏽

    My wedding isn’t til 6/6 but we are still trying to decide what to do. Whether we need a backup plan or just ride it out. We know we have a little time but I’m worried this won’t be over by then.

    EVERY DAY. My wedding was scheduled for April 25 and I postponed to September. Every day I freak out a little wondering when this is going to end and I can get married finally

    Honestly, how can anyone compare a virus we have never seen to one we have seen? That is stupid, I say that because it is speculation and only time will tell. The flu does not harden in your lungs. It does not cause pneumonia that is so bad that many people need ventilators. Have you ever known of anyone on a ventilator? I have not

    This is tuff and lacks the joy and excitement a wedding should have. I want to postpone but I have no idea when will be a good time. I guess there won’t be a shower or fun nights out with the girls. I’m sad really.
