Coronavirus=pure Panic

My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

    Hi Christine, I’m getting married 5/8/20 also in Montgomery County. I was as worried about it until recently. I’m not worried about my health, but my future mother-in-law has a compromised immune system and I can’t imagine getting married without her there. I am trying to take it one day at a time and a week or so before the wedding I will make a decision. I have already been in communication with the wedding venue that in the case something happened they would either refund the money I gave or help me reschedule. Where are you getting married?

    We recently got engaged and started planning for a quick, casual beach wedding in Nags Head, NC set for 5/18/20. Our wedding was going to be small, and may be even smaller now. But we are not rescheduling. It is what it is, I wish more people could be there but this is our time frame. Hopefully by then some of this pandemic will be gone. Good luck to all of you and don't panic! It will be exactly what it should be for your day and beautiful no matter what!

    We were getting married April 4th. My FH's niece is in quarantine because her teacher has tested positive, and that was the tip of the iceberg lol. It was heartbreaking, but we had to move to August 15th in order to have his family here.

    Yes, me too. We knew that our baseline was having our families here, and all we had for sure was my mom and stepdad and siblings. Our vendors were super understanding and didn't charge us for moving to the first date we had been debating, ironically enough.

    My wedding is 3/21 and we are trying our best to just roll with the punches right now. As of this morning all of our vendors and venue are still ready to go next weekend and we are really hoping it stays that way. We are in the process of re-confirming everyone's attendance and have only lost a handful of guests so far. Communicating with our vendors & guests have been the best and nearly only thing we can do about this. Good luck to everyone else!!!

    Our venue allowed us to postpone our early May wedding to September. It’s been a really difficult and hard decision, but we are also considering getting officially/legally married on our initial date and using the fall date as a reception and celebration of marriage.

    I am supposed to be having a destination wedding in Dominican Republic on May 2nd. I was trying to be optimistic but it's looking like we may postpone. My biggest concern was my parents and some of the older family members. Today, my parents told me that they were really concerned about going as are some of my family members. It's been a rough day to say the least. We planned for this wedding for a year and a half and it just feels so surreal that it's not going to happen when we thought it would.

    We’re getting married at the Bucks Club in Bucks County. I’m mostly worried about my grandparents and some relatives with compromised immune systems. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worse. Where are you getting married?

    If we postpone we’re still getting married on our original date and have a celebration/renewal a year later.

    My wedding date is April 11th 2020 but half our guests are from the UK and under the travel ban so our hand has now been forced. I was refusing to cancel but no choice now, just praying all vendors, venues and airlines will be reasonable and not charge any extra rescheduling fees . Heartbroken right now.

    Also worried! My wedding is June 20 in NY. I’m worried as NYS is the worst as of right now and all schools around me are closed for at least the next week two and most colleges for the semester. I know these are precautions they are taking for social distancing and containment. The uncertainty worries me as no one knows how this will pan out. I’m worried people will not come who originally would’ve. I haven’t sent out invitations yet but was planning on sending them early/mid April. I’ve contacted my venue to come up with a plan B in case of postponement. Just not sure when to make the decision. I will wait the month and see how everything evolves. And in the interim i plan on working with my vendors to see if everyone by chance can make a later happen.
