Corsages for moms

Kayla, on October 13, 2017 at 11:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 36

Did anyone know this was a thing? Are you guys getting your mom a corsage? My wedding is a week away and I'm just finding out about it

We decided to skip it. One, for cost (it was minimal - $20, but still...) and two, our mothers said it wasn't necessary.

Instead of crosages we did bouquets, but I made our flowers out of fake flowers for our DW

Both my moms and grandmas had them. They're easy to make. I made them with my MIL.

I'm planning on doing one. They can be really simple, like a white rose or something.

I did corsages for both mothers. My florist made them but they could also be pinned on if they preferred. I skipped for my SIL, who was a ceremony reader. She has 2 young boys so I thought it might get in the way of picking up the younger one of needed.

I have literally never seen a mom without a corsage. And many of my weddings give them a single flower as a gratitude presentation too.

We ended up getting a corsage/boutonniere package from Sam's Club for about $100 which was very worth it because I have separated parents and grandparents who should honored as well so this package worked for us. It's really up to you and how you choose to honor them if you do, you could always just check Sam's/Costco at this point if you want some and could get some prearranged ones.

Moms and grandmas are getting them. That was part of what we priced out with our florist.

I am giving them to moms and grandmas. You can get some at any florest or grocery store that has flowers especially with it being homecoming season. My mom found a small flower stand that has some for like $18 which is on the low side.

If you do them, I would suggest the wrist kind so that they don't have to pin through their nice gowns.

I've seen corsages for mom's and boutonnieres for dad's at a lot of weddings. We decided to skip both. We are also skipping boutonnieres for the GMs. We are having a very relaxed ceremony. No one is wearing a suit or jacket and we thought it would look better with out them. We asked the parents if the wanted them, but everyone said to just skip them.

Both Mom and FMIL will get one, as well as our readers. One is my Godmother and the other is FH's cousin who is like a sister to him. I didn't think they need corsages but my mom said to do it. It was only $20 each.

I wasn't sure if this was old school or not. I told my mom and FMIL to just let me know if they want them or not. I do want to honor them in some way, but it does feel a little prom-y to me.

We initially were going to skip it, but had some flowers left over from centerpieces so my aunt got some floral tape and made boutonnieres and corsages for the moms, dads and my grandpa.

I'm doing corsages for the moms. I really wanted to give them that kinda special feeling when you get flowers. The money was very little.

Skipping the corsages. I honestly don't even think the GMs will have boutonnieres. But I keep going back and forth with that one
