Did anyone know this was a thing? Are you guys getting your mom a corsage? My wedding is a week away and I'm just finding out about it

My mom was okay wth skipping but MIL wanted one so we got them both them. They were like $12 each I think. We actually requested wrist ones but the florist made mothers bouts instead (by mistake I think) which was fine. They wore them.

I gave my mom and my mother in law a handkerchief at the rehearsal dinner, and a single rose during the ceremony. Skipped on the corsage. If everyone is dancing, they just become annoying and fall apart anyway!

My mom, FHs mom, and my grandma are getting one (his grandparents and my other grandma passed). I think it is nice for them.

I thought maybe we could get out of doing it... so I asked my FMIL if she preferred a wrist corsage or a pin corsage, thinking she would decline... she promptly confirmed wrist corsage....

My mother and FMIL will be getting corsages. I wanted to get them something for being their amazing selves.

Plus, I love flowers and want everyone to have some haha

We got one for my mom and FH's aunt, who is like his mom (his mother passed away)the cost is minimal and will make them feel special. Worth it to me.

Did... did you not know corsages were a thing?

Of course, they're optional, but I'm surprised you didn't know that the moms often get them. We had them for our mothers and H's grandmother.

Yes we got it for both moms. Wedding planner set that up for us so it wasn't really a thought.

My mom and my FH's godmother will have one (his mom passed almost 10 years ago). Considering doing the same for anyone who reads scripture in the ceremony (I'm thinking FSIL, since she's not a BM, but I want her to have an important role in the day).

My mom probably could have done with out, FMIL could not. Both have corsages, and my grandmother.

I have one for my "stand in mom" (my mom passed away and she's always been a second mom) and for fmil. They are prob $20ish a piece. Sometimes just a little recognition makes their day.

Both of our moms decided they didn't want them so we didn't do them. Saved a little money not doing them.
