Cost for a dj

Jeanette, on July 14, 2019 at 9:37 PM Posted in Planning 1 119
I was just on another discussion board and see people are spending $ 500 -$700 for a DJ.

Where are you located?? The cheapest I found is $1500 for 5 hours.

We're paying 900 for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception however we really lucked out with him! The other quotes I had started at 1500. This guy just moved to the area so he was cutting a deal for the few few weddings booked.

We paid 599 for ours for the 5 hour reception in NJ
I had trouble finding one for under 1200 initially but did some scouring of craigslist and found a smaller entertainment group that I put my faith in!

We're paying $950 for our reception- he's not going by the hour he is just doing the whole reception from about 4:30 pm to 12:00 AM. He also includes uplighting with that package. We're located in Northeastern Colorado.

Keeya do you mind sharing who you’re using? I’m a New Yorker getting married in Denver.... I’ve reached out to some recommended dj’s and the price is about double!

It is Night Sounds Entertainment- his name is Jason Kimble! He's actually out of Imperial, Nebraska, but he does travel- I know he's done a few events in the Denver area.

He does an absolutely amazing job! He has been the DJ for so many weddings that we've gone to and every single one he has done incredible! He helps throw an amazing party! He also has a Photo Booth Service for $400.

    Here's his website- http://nightsoundsent.com

He also has a Facebook page!

We got an amazing deal for the DJ that I specifically wanted. He will be doing our ceremony and reception, a total of 6 hours. He is also bringing extra lighting, has worked with our venue many many times and included the photo booth all for $500! I would’ve paid much more for him. He is a big part of my dream wedding and I cannot wait!!! (We’ve attended weddings and have multiple friends that have used the same company) We live in the Chicago suburbs and the company is SoundsAbound
