Cost of Centerpieces

#ItsBeardTime, on August 28, 2016 at 6:15 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 16

Does anyone have a relative idea (just a ballpark like 100-500/centerpiece) of how much this centerpiece would cost to make? I have an appointment with a florist that is able to make these, but don't want to suggest them if I know that they are way over the budget. We would need 12 made.

That actually shouldn't be expensive at all. But I can't say for certain.

@Orchids My budget for centerpieces is $800. These are the centerpieces I like. Is this doable?

Where are you located? You budgeted about $66 per centerpiece. Your location is going to make a huge difference.

I meant just ask the vendor that. I'm sure they know that the average person doesn't know how much a centerpiece might cost...my area of expertise is animals and I have NO idea what's reasonable for flowers(unless you're talking orchids lol), so I'd definitely have to ask. Smiley smile

@Jersey Southern California. Flowers were never important to me. I was originally going to DIY my own with succulents, but I just saw these online and thought I would see if these would be doable.

I sent inspiration pictures to my florist and gave her my budget and we modified from there. I am also getting married in southern CA.

@SciAmoor You are right. I looked them up on youtube and they could be DIY'd. I was just trying to see if someone had a ball park range for how much a florist would cost so I wouldn't have to stress about it right before the wedding.

So Cal is pretty expensive. You also have to figure in labor and transportation costs. Sometimes, florists add the transportation cost on after the quoted centerpiece price. Maybe, you could get the vases from a craft store and deliver them to the florist for assembly to help ease costs. Although, I am sure they get a bulk discount.

Go with @orchid's suggestion. Even if they are over budget, your florist should be able to suggest a similar alternative.

Most of your budget should be flowers. Submersible lights come in packs and are cheap. And you do not have to buy expensive vases. You can even rent them

@FutureMrs.Dyson According to everything that I have read online, flowers should be about 10% of my budget not most of it. As I said before, flowers aren't that important to me. One big reason is that I am allergic to pollen and have spent most of my life hating them.

Go talk to a florist. Tell her what your budget is. They can work it out.

Most of budget being flowers?? Flowers were about 1/23rd of my budget.
