How much does it cost for an officiant . My fiancé is jewish and we reached out to a rabbi and he’s charging 800 for 30 mins . Is that reasonable ?

The fee includes meeting with him 3 times prior to the wedding and him officiating .

Ah, well I guess to me your question seems specific to rabbis. Is the $800 pocket money for him? Or does it go to his synagogue, or his synagogue’s charity efforts? If the latter then $800 is definitely not much, especially if your fiancé is a devout Jew. If it’s the former then it’s honestly still not that much money, but maybe a tad more than a secular officiant who obtained their credentials over the internet or something.

That's how much my Catholic Church charges, and we are adding 200 tip to the Priest. Does one tip a Rabbi as well?

Yes, I agree! Try thumbtack that’s where I found my officiant and it was a great price compared to what the knot and wedding wore had for recommendations.
