Cost of Table Linens

GrayCatVintage, on February 13, 2014 at 12:45 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

Our venue has 16 round tables. They are typical white banquet tables and they are quite nice. We will also have probably 3 long banquet tables. I will need table linens for all the tables because our caterer does not rent them. Did you have to buy your own linens? If so, how much did you spend? I was somewhat shocked that some of the nicer linens were $30-$40 a piece! Of course I was looking at rosette table covers but if I have to settle for plain white I will. I am not sure however if the plain table covers will be all that much less than fancier ones.

Look at www.cvlinens.com We got our runners from there for $1 a piece… they are having a pretty big sale right now as well.

You can also just rent them yourself from a rental company. Google something like "event rental" with your location and you should find something.

Your venue can probably recommend a local party rental place or linen rental place.

Linentablecloth.com is an amazing site! they are so cheap and I spent probably a little over 100 for tablecloths, runners, sashes and napkins. Buying is WAYYYY cheaper then renting and you can sell them right after.

The rental company that is local to the venue charges just as much to rent them as to buy...it's ridiculous!

If you are still deciding on whether to rent or purchase linens, bear in mind that if you purchase,, unless your venue offers to and is capable of doing, you will be responsible for pressing out the wrinkles as well as laundering and storing once you use them. We went with rentals because it was just too much trouble trying to make sure they were nice and neat. Worth the cost we felt.
