Soooo I'm trying to decide where the fiancee and I should go on our honeymoon. I was really set on St. Lucia until I was discussing it with some friends at work that highly recommended Costa Rica. Have any of you on the forum been to either? What are your recommendations and why? We want to experience adventure and romance. Hotel hopping would be nice and all inclusive is a must. I'm from Jamaica living in Miami and my fiancee is from New Orleans so we enjoy a great time.

Where did you stay? We are looking at the Guancaste area since the all inclusives are there but want the option to do all the above you mentioned as well as have a little night life as well and I heard Cocobeach isnt far

So if I remember correctly, and Google isn't lying to me, that was the region where I stayed. My family ended up staying in a couple of resorts that I don't remember the specifics of. One night we were up in the rainforest and then we stayed somewhere with a view of the volcano.
I was younger when I went, so I couldn't speak to the nightlife scene much, but Monteverde is amazing (ziplining!! monkeys!!) and Coco beach definitely has some sort of social scene because I remember my family renting a golf cart and having a great time carting into town at sunset.
