Has anyone ordered flowers from Costco? Bulk flowers that is. I'm actually thinking about really doing this for the wedding flowers. IT'S SO MUCH CHEAPER than a florist in Phoenix.. What do you guys think?

I wanted to order flowers from Costco, but two things Aria Bride is talking about stopped me. 1. we don't have a cool place to store them and 2. I have no idea how to transport them. So if you have a solution to those two, and you don't think it will stress you out, go for it.

I am glad it worked out for your cousin in law but I would never chance it!

When I was planning my wedding, we talked to so many different companies, if someone did not return my call within 24 hours, we moved on. Especially in this day and age when someone can text you, call you, email, etc. There is no excuse for not answering someone!

This is where I ordered my flowers. They have a great guarantee! David Tutrea used them, so they must be decent. I didn't find any bad reviews except for people not realizing that all flowers are not gigantic. They had a better variety of flowers than Costco and there wasn't much of a price difference.

I looked at Costco flowers. However, all their packages assumed one bride and multiple bridesmaids, and we had the opposite, so they wouldn't work for us. You might be able to work something out with an individual store. However, we were getting married 8 hours from where we live, and didn't want any last-minute hassles, so we went with a regular florist. It looks like for the premade bouquets, our florist did better on price than Whole Blossoms, anyway.

I ordered flowers online from a wholesale flower website, (we don't have a Costco nearby or I would have totally ordered from them) but I had my bouquet and bouts made for me from a professional florist. I enjoyed doing my own decorations and centerpieces, but for my bouquet I am so glad I had it professionally made. I loved it so much!! Smiley smile But doing my own centerpieces was fun and given the opportunity I would happily do it again.

I did all the bouquets for my niece's wedding and they are very easy to do with a little prep work. It only took me about 45 minutes to do the bride's bouquet and about 30 min each for the BMs bouquets.

We didn 't get the flowers from CostCo as they live way out in a very small town, but purchased them from their local grocery store as they were roses and she had bought roses from them many times and they were always gorgeous.

Thank you so much for your input guys!

Update: my SIL's coworker is willing to arrange the flowers for me and is willing to pick them up from Costco and get them to the venue. She is super sweet! I found a bunch of vases and candelabras wholesale on save-on-crafts.com. Has anyone purchased any items from them??

@Leena I. I am not sure what type of vases you are looking to buy, but Dollar Tree also has some.

My florist was a merchandiser for Costco for seven years in the VA area. She said that the difference in the flowers that you get from Costco vs. a florist is the petal count. Basically she said they are the quality of what is in the grocery store. I was considering buying from Costco but I really dont have anywhere to store the flowers over night and transporting them to my reception venue would be kind of tricky. I dont mind the way the Costco flowers look but I really want things to be convienent on my wedding day. I say do what ever works best for your budget and what you can live with :0)))

I was going to get everything online, then i was going to get bulk flowers online and do them myself, and THEN I found a woman who works at a florists shop, but works independently for a very small fee. I'm getting beautiful flowers for very cheap!!! Try every route before assuming that getting the flowers at Costco is the cheapest option. I'm actually SAVING money!!!

Thank you Future Mrs. J-Mo! I will look through those. Josie, you have a good point.. I don't want to cut it close either with having the delivery be on the wedding day.. besides I think you're supposed to let them open a few days before or something? Candyce, I didn't think about asking people that work independently.. good call!
