Costco flowers?

Courtney , on December 1, 2016 at 6:50 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 17

So, I'm looking into doing my own flowers. Costco has great prices for bouquets or even wedding sets! I was wondering if anyone else has ordered from them? How was the quality of the flowers? I'm interesting in the European floral bouquets option, but I'm not sure how I feel about not knowing what I'd be getting. Thanks!!

Hey Courtney, I didn't get their premade arrangements, but I did order my wedding flowers from Costo and assembled them into bouquets and small centerpieces the day before the wedding (did the boutonnieres the morning of). I got their mixed white flower selection and I thought they were great quality. My wedding was a Saturday, I ordered them to be delivered on Thursday so I could get them out of their boxes and into water so they could open up a bit, and left them to rest in my parent's basement so they would stay cool. Some of my lilies hadn't quite opened up by Friday when I was assembling, but by Saturday they were mostly all open. I'd imagine if you are ordering premade bouquets and arrangements they will have a different recommendation as to when you should have them delivered for their best quality, I'd see if you could speak to someone in person about it.

Also when you get a chance we'd love you to set an avatar photo, it helps us recognize you and get to know you around the community!

I'm looking into Costco for my flowers too. There's a lot of brides on here that have used them as well. I would just use the loose stems for like extra decor around the venue because I am nowhere near crafty enough to make bouquets.

I LOVE Costco flowers. They stay fresh and beautiful for a long time atleast a week ( I timed it). I only buy flowers from there for any occasion. I vote go for it. The price is great too. If you choose roses, you may have to let them bloom a bit before using them.

Costco flowers are great, someone else on here said if ordering for a wedding to speak to someone in the store and not order online though so their is more control? I'm doing Trader Joe's flowers, but with them you can't pick what flowers you are getting it's whatever is available when you need them,

If you have a Sam's club in the area, they are great too

I used Sam's because I liked the arrangements better. You really cannot beat their pricing. Here's a picture of some of our flowers.

I used to work for the company that supplies flowers to Costco. They are not part of Costco, it's a different company. So the number you call through Costco and the people you talk to in the store aren't affiliated. Also I can only speak for the company that covered California and I think Washington and Oregon. However, I know in that area if you order through the person in the store, they can't guarantee the roses are all the same shade of the color you select. So if you say orange, they may be bright or they may be pastel. The flowers are good quality, I just figured that deserves a warning. I've heard the flowers you order through Costco directly are gorgeous too.

I know Sam's club isn't the same as Costco but we got ours from there. My aunt who was a professional florist for 10 plus yrs said they were the best flowers she's ever seen and was pleasantly surprised by their quality. I say go for it!

Has anyone ordered through BJ's? It's a warehouse chain on the east coast. I have a membership there through my sister and was hoping to order flowers there.

I don't have a membership with Sams club or Costco. Is one required to order flowers from these stores?

Chi-Chi, You do have to have a membership to purchase from the stores or pay a percentage of the cost if you aren't a member ( typically).

I'm on the east coast too and looked into BJs, but I decided to go with Sams Club. I like Sams clubs selections and options much more.

As far as warehouse stores go in terms of quality overall, is BJ's, then sams club, then Costco. Sam's club is owned by Walmart.

I havent ordered flower for a wedding from them but I did order flowers last mother's day and was disappointed. My mom said the flowers wilted very quickly. I think if you are getting the flowers a day or two before the wedding it might be fine. I did not want to take that risk because my wedding is thanksgiving weekend (saturday) and I would need the flowers delivered the wednesday before thanksgiving because they dont deliver on thanksgiving or on that friday.
