Could i Be Pregnant

MarlaKeough, on December 25, 2019 at 10:23 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 4

Just need some input!

So, if I remember right, I had my period about 2 weeks ago. Or at least, now that I am thinking about it, I THINK It was my period. The bleeding was fairly light and lasted like 2 days (which isn't exactly abnormal for me, in terms of the number of days). Well, my partner and I had sex the day after my period ended. Well, two days ago, I began feeling sooo nauseous, diarrhea, head-ache. Twice I smelled food and almost gagged. I feel better today but still can't bring myself to eat foods I normally love. I feel very tired and all I seem to want is Gatorade and water.

I am not on birth control, but we use condoms. I didn't eat anything that would give me food poisoning and also there's not a stomach virus going around where I am.

Could I be pregnant? If so, when should I take a test?

Thanks

It’s super unlikely, but you could take a test after you miss your next period if you’re really concerned.

It is that time of year where it could just be a virus as it sounds like a short period is common enough for you.
I'm not saying it couldn't be pregnancy,
people experience it differently. Like my first trimester I felt exhausted all the time and the morning sickness didnt really start until 9 or 10 weeks. Before that, I had some mild cramping and tender/sore breasts around when my period should have started so I assumed nah....its PMS. But 4 days after it should have started I though meh I'll take a test for fun and it was almost an immediate pregnant response! Doesn't hurt to take an early response test though

Unless you have extremely short cycles you most likely wouldn’t have ovulated that close to when your period ended so it wouldn’t be possible to get pregnant then. You can take a test for peace of mind but usually if you’re pregnant enough for symptoms you’re pregnant enough for a positive test. Otherwise those symptoms are due to progesterone in the second half of your cycle.

I’m recovering from the flu and had similar issues. You might have that. I wouldn’t stress yourself outSmiley smile
