Couples getting married on April 10, 2021

Kelsay, on August 14, 2019 at 10:17 PM Posted in Planning 7 28
Hey Date twin! Wondering with our dates being so far away how has wedding planning been for you? Although it’s a while away I’m feeling overwhelmed and just wondering how other people are coping with the stress of planning if any lol

Not quite the same, but my planned date is the day after yours xD I've been venue searching. We finally set on a theme, and now I'm planning DIY projects I want to do for it. (it's going be largely DIY) that's how I'm keeping myself busy. it may seem far away, but it's been 3 months already since we decided to get married and it feels like yesterday.

I don’t even know where to start! Our families are about 9 hours apart so trying to find a middle ground for the wedding. That’s just very hard when I’ll be so far away planning

I'm a few months before you and I'm already stressing because I want everything so perfect. I just have to realize I have over a YEAR to get this crap done and set 100%. Just breathe, plan slow, you got this.

Hi ! OMG...I'm so glad I'm not alone on that. Even with our wedding being over a year away, I feel overwhelmed with so much planning that needs to be done I start one project or look into one vendor and find myself looking into other details. Must be the excitement I guess.

We got engaged July 28, 2019 but we KNEW April 10, 2021 was the date for us instantly! (It’s our soul number). By November 2019, we had the venue, DJ, and photographer all booked and found the dress (I did not plan on that one happening so early haha!) FH and I have super busy jobs so I knew I wanted to get a lot of the big stuff confirmed in advance to hopefully prevent feeling too overwhelmed. The past few months were so nice not to really worry about actual planning and just getting our vision down and hanging out on Pinterest!

Right now I’m working on bridesmaid proposals to send in April! Also will be reaching out to florists soon..was planning on waiting but now that so many 2020 brides have the misfortune of having to reschedule their weddings due to coronavirus, I am now worried that florists 2021 schedule might be booking up with rescheduling a faster than in a typical year. Anyone else consider that or am I crazy?

No you're not crazy! I got engaged exactly 2 months ago, went out and tried on dresses a couple weeks later, and fell in love with one immediately. Everyone thought I was crazy for buying a dress over a year in advance, but now I am SO thankful I did. We booked the venue in New Rochelle NY literally a week before the first case was confirmed there and it became the epicenter of the US coronavirus outbreak. Smiley surprise Now there are drive-thru testing stations down the street from our venue!

After we were forced to start working from home in early March, I was thinking it would be a good idea to take a break from vendor-shopping, until I came on here and saw 2020 brides postponing!! In the past 2 weeks I've booked the DJ, photographer, videographer, photo booth.. basically everything "big" except for the florist. Thankfully we have some good recommendations, but it is going to be difficult deciding on flowers without being able to see them... there's only so much you can tell from internet pics.

Is anyone worried about April 2021 being too early with all of this pandemic stuff? I just set our date and it's final since my mom is being deployed for a year from may 2021 to the following may. At first I was optimistic but I hear so many different things.

I try to stay away from the news. If I listen to it everyday, it drives my anxiety up. I’m hopeful that we will be fine for April 2021.

I'm newly engaged just starting planning but i have my colors picked out. I think i found my venue just need to see it in person. We are at a cross road with the guest count I want small 100, he said more like 150-200.

Hi Treazure! We started out with 100, now we have a firm stop at 170!! It’s crazy how easily the guest count can creep up! Happy Planning!
