Couples getting married on August 31, 2023

Hi! I was super nervous to plan a wedding on a Thursday but am glad that I'm not in it alone. What made you all think of a Thursday? For me, the venue I wanted only had 3 available dates for all of 2023. 2 on Sunday and one on Thursday. Plus the prices were unbeatable.

I am planning my wedding in the same day! There are multiple reasons me and my fiance chose the date. The biggest was that we wanted a *cool* date and since we didn't like any of the play in number dates, we seen that this date is a Full Blue Moon. That only occurs once every so often. And it would happen again on our 25th anniversary. Also, my grandparents wedding anniversary was in August as well as my fiancé's mom and step dad's anniversary. They're two couples we often look up to as role model couples. Also, we are on a budget with our wedding as we are paying for it ourselves and Thursdays at venues tend to be cheaper than weekend dates. As far as those who attend, those who want to be there, will be.

    Hi Kamika!

Chose this date for a two reasons:

    1. Long weekend. We plan to hang out with family and friends who are coming into town on Friday and Saturday. They will have Sunday to travel home and have Monday off because it's Labor day!

    2. Weekday wedding. Our venue considers Friday to be part of the "weekend" so we opted for Thursday and the cost was cut in half. This was also a way to "weed" out the folks who will not attend simply because it's a weekday.
