Couples getting married on December 12, 2020

Hi ladies!

I've never done this before and I've never used these discussion things, but I thought this may be fun and helpful. We all share one thing in common, OUR DAY! I was wondering if you girls had any tips (if you've already begun planning). I was having such a hard time finding a venue for my reception that I felt like I almost had to change my date, but I ended up finding the perfect one for me. I've decided to do a traditional Christmas wedding with the usual red, green, and gold color scheme. Any decoration ideas? Invitation ideas? I really am very indecisive when it comes to decorations so I'm looking for all the help I can get! Enjoy your planning ladies and congratulations!

Hi LeAnna! I’m a 12/12/20 bride, too! Our colors are green and gold, and my favorite color is pink, so we’re incorporating a bit of blush as well! My fiancé and I aren’t really into the rustic look that typically comes with winter weddings, so we’re inspired by glass, gold, and greenery for our centerpieces! I do love the “‘Tis the season to be married” sign, though!

Hi LeAnna! Another 12/20/2020 Bride here 💍 My colors are completely different and still coming up w the exact pallet but as a former wedding planner my advice as far as decorations would be Pinterest for ideas and make a board don’t be afraid to pin and pin and pin you can always go back and look thru them and decide wht you like and don’t like etc but it definitely gives you a place to start and will help you develop your “style” oh how I wish it was available whn I was planning wedding it would have made my life sooo much easier lol
As far as colors I’m leaning toward Navy-Deep Fuschia-Plum-Ice Blue w a hint of Tiffany Blue but still working on it

We are also getting married 12/12/20! We opted for a destination wedding (our families live on opposite coasts so either way it would have been a destination for half of our guests) and since we have to have a winter wedding, opted for somewhere WARM! Our colors are navy and blush but I love a winter wedding too! Hoping to enjoy the winter wonderland vibe vicariously through all of you! Congratulations ladies!!

Hi there! It’s so exciting to be sharing such a fun date with others (my love and I love to chant to ourselves twelve-twelve-twenty-twenty!) We’re going for various shades of blue especially dusty blue with accents of red and green to fit in with our venue (it has a large red velvet curtain that can’t really be moved). I have a huge aesthetic obsession, so I’m going to spend loads of time focusing on the grand ideas and overall feel for the wedding to be cozy and Christmasy with a nice hot chocolate bar, fun dancing, and just lots of cuddles. We’re also going to do our photography journalist style, which means no formal pictures to more enjoy the day rather than have a structured day (but we’ll have a little couples session).

For you other winter wedding ladies, what’s your plan for staying warm? I’m not a huge fan of the shawls, fur coats, or blankets ideas. And are you opting for a cold or warm honeymoon?

Ahhh hi wedding date twins!!!!! We are also getting married 12/12/20 in Annapolis, Md. we actually got stuck with the date because I wanted 12/5/20, but the venue I wanted was booked. Now I’m in love with the date because it flows so easily!!

We are going for a speakeasy vibe so our colors are old gold, black, and ivory. I am all over the place in regards to decor (simplistic vs all out, flowers vs greenery...soooo many ideas!!). Good luck to everyone!

Hi! Light blue is SO nice! One of the color schemes I had thought about was light blue and plum. We picked “My Romance” by Tony Bennett, we’re both really into crooners and classic Broadway, and the song has a lot of significance for us!

I just put together a mock-up of our centerpieces! We LOVE Christmas, but wanted to stay away from too much red and green... that being said, I’ve collected nutcrackers my whole life and thought that they’d be really cute as table markers! 🎄

Hi! Though we aren't date twins, I am having a Christmas inspired wedding on 12/5/2020! We actually did move our date for this. Originally, we were getting married on May 9th, 2020 but I was having a hard time planning and felt like my deadline was fast approaching. Our dating anniversary is 12/07/15 and we got engaged on 12/31/18, plus we both absolutely love Christmas so a December wedding just made more sense!

This is so so so cliche to say, but after being engaged for almost a year & planning that entire time I've really learned to focus on what means a lot to US and what will make OUR day special. I have changed my mind about things so much and realized what's really important in just a year and I don't think I would have if we kept our wedding in May. (For example: We deleted people from our guest list just because we were invited to their wedding 2 years ago and felt obligated to invite them to ours, we were pressured to set a date soon after getting engaged and have moved our wedding to a season meaningful to us, etc.)

I'm extremely indecisive also so I feel you there! Etsy is like a more realistic Pinterest in my opinion. I've found really cool invitation and decor ideas there. Even if you don't want to order anything or it's too expensive, they have great inspiration.

Hi there, I am a 12/12/2020 bride! We are doing an industrial wedding at the Art Factory In Patterson. I don't really have a theme, but I am thinking about doing a "moody" wedding. I am going to do a black velvet runner and incorporate gold, navy, plum, deep reds, and dark greens. I would also like to do a hint of ice blue. We wanted our wedding song to be "City of Black and White" by Matt Kearney but we might change it since not many people know it. Our friend/musician said it might be best to stick to a song your guest have heard before. He said it helps bring build the experience. I would prefer a band but we have not found one that is reasonably priced. If anyone is having a wedding in the area, please share there music and vendor choices. I am looking to do something simple that's a little different and resonably priced. Thanks for sharing

    Congrats !

Hello! We just chose our date about 12 days ago and things have been going quickly! For our first date my fiancé and I went to watch Beauty and the Beast (the 2017 version) so we had to incorporate it into our wedding. BUT Christmas is our favorite holiday; so we chose ruby red and emerald green.. kind of like Wizard of Oz colors because there’s no place like home.. and he’s my home. With gold and midnight blue accents. I’m so excited but nervous at the same time because most people have been planning for months and we just got engaged in August!

Hey there wedding soul sisters! I too am getting married on 12/12/2020. My fiance picked the date so it would be easy to remember, LOL. Our colors are red, white and blue. We both share a love for the Texas Rangers hence the color selection so our wedding if off season baseball themed.

Hi all, 12/12/2020 bride here, too!

I have my venue booked and am thinking of doing a rich green or dark teal, gold or copper, and incorporating some glass details for a rustic winter vibe 😊 other than that I've just been pinning and don't really have anything else sorted out!

My fiance and I were originally planning an outdoor summer wedding for this July, but due to COVID-19 we have rescheduled for 12/12/2020. We were blessed that the botanical gardens we were planning to get married at has a beautiful conservatory that we are able to use instead. I was so thankful to not have to change the whole theme of my wedding ( my garden wedding dress, the girls in yellow, etc.). Now we get to look forward to a gorgeous night wedding in the rainforest instead.Couples getting married on December 12, 2020 18
