Carla, on November 13, 2021 at 7:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
Hi everyone! I’ve just recently changed my date from October 9th 2022 to December 18th 2022. Destination wedding in Puerto Rico to have it closer to older family members!

Yes, we finally secured our ceremony site and reception venue. I’ll be honest that our reception venue wasn’t my first choice but it wound up being the best place! Have you chosen your venue?

Awe!!! That’s going to be amazing! Will you be staying there? It would make everything so much easier for you and your guests. That’s been my biggest issue so far. I’m still trying to figure out where I am staying and what’s an affordable option for my guests. So far everyone says they will stay at whatever hotel I’m staying in. Problem is that the hotel that I really want has some crazy prices and the hotel isn’t really giving much of a discount. But it’s close to both venues and they offer suites which would be large enough for my bridal party to get ready in.

Yeah we are, they offer a room for the bride groom free of charge the night of the wedding. I'll be getting small room blocks there and some other places nearby. I'm thinking of ideally doing 2-3 different room blocks in different price points. Most of our guests will be from out of town so it wouldn't be difficult to fill them up.

The hotel that we are considering gives us our wedding day free and will automatically upgrade us to the junior suit if we book ten rooms or more. Another great thing about having everything in one spot is that you don’t have to worry about transportation. I got a limo bus to transport my guests to the ceremony and then to the reception. Are you pretty much done planning?
