Generally the first steps are to discuss with your partner what you both envision for your special day, set your budget, and then from there put together a tentative guest list so you know what sized venues to look for.

From there, you would ideally want to book your wedding venue and thereafter look at vendors (i.e. venue then officiant/celebrant, florist, musicians etc). You do have plenty of time so you don't have to get straight into the planning just yet, though I would suggest that if you have any dream venues or vendors, book them soon - since many people have postponed their weddings or otherwise planned far out in advance due to COVID, you may be better off snapping up your dream vendors sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
