Couples getting married on February 2, 2020 in North Carolina

Shelby, on April 1, 2019 at 12:48 PM Posted in North Carolina Planning 0 2
Hello date twins! We are discussing where to get married. Suggestions? Anyone have any fun ideas on where to honeymoon? FYI, we are slightly older than the usual couple.

    Hi there Shelby!

I’m sure your date twins are on their way Smiley smile

Are you planning on getting married in North Carolina? The WeddingWire venue directory is a great place to search for that perfect venue. You can narrow this selection down further by venue type, city, etc.

    Raleigh Wedding Venues

What sort of honeymoon are you looking for? One of total relaxation, action-packed, or somewhere in the middle? I can definitely give you some recommendations Smiley smile

Will you go on honeymoon directly after the wedding or will you wait a couple of weeks?

    Hi Cliodhna,

We will be going directly on our honeymoon. We are both 50 and went to High School together. We reconnected about 1.5 years ago and here we are! Our graduating class was small (247) so many of us still get together for a potluck and a separate girls night monthly.
My FH currently lives 5 hrs. away and travels to our home town on the weekend.
Getting married in February is daunting in NC. Our weather is notoriously unpredictable. Case in point, it snowed here this past Wednesday.
We've both been married before and have adult children. Neither of us want a large, formal wedding. Something that includes our close friends and family will be perfect.
My parents live on a farm, formerly owned by my great grandparents, but it will be too cold to do it there. The FH wouldn't care if we went to the JOP but my daughter is determined to be my maid of honor.
    Ideas?
    Love & Light,
    Shelby
