Couples getting married on July 14, 2021

Betty, on June 6, 2021 at 11:10 AM Posted in Planning 1 9

So our count down is rapidly moving forward! I am trying to stay calm & get things done & feel like everything is coming into place nicely.

How are all you doing? Nervous, excided, etc.?

Did any of you pick this "date" for reasons other than "it's a really cool date" (one which my FH said he will NEVER forget ~ even my brother who NEVER remembers dates ever said he would likely be able to remember! LOL).

We are doing beach front in Florida at sunset ~ other exciting venues, etc.?

Our day is the 14th as well...for sentimental reasons. It’s the 10 year anniversary of our first date. We are doing an outdoor wedding at my aunts farm-immediate family only, then having a party on the 17th. Non-traditional and fun.

That is very sweet! You likely feel the same way! My FH is telling me everyday how beautiful & lucky he is to have found & be marrying me! So I can totally relate! LOL

Sounds very special! OUR "anniversary" of our first date would have been January ~ but FH REALLY wanted to get married in July so I suggested "this" date as it is a cool date (before I realized it was a Wednesday) and he ran with it! Ours is going to be pretty small (about 30 including us) & we are having a reception immediately after. I know the reception will wrap up by 10 because of noise ordinances, etc. at the beach where we are getting married.

That’s exciting too though. A beach wedding was originally what we wanted, but I was hesitant to look around because I didn’t know when COVID restrictions would be up...and I refused to be limited to wearing a mask at the beach. Lol.

I’m excited for you! It will be lovely!

Plus July is much warmer than January. (You can have 2 anniversaries 😁).

Thankfully we are in Florida so most everything is open or opening with less restrictions ~ however we started planning before that point ~ AND are still keeping it small. Most of the family/friends have been gotten the vaccine so I am "worrying" less that someone could die because we got married (a real fear given this last year!) We are doing a Hawaiian "themed"
wedding as he had planned to propose in Hawaii when we "were supposed" to be there last fall ~ but we didn't get to go, & I wasn't willing to try to plan another trip there until Covid isn't still an issue.

But, sunset, beach, the man I love I can pretend it's Hawaii (since I have never been) ~ IMO it doesn't get better than that!

I am really excited for all of us! It's getting sooo close!

We picked July 14th 2021. For the lucky number 7. 7 plus 7 is 14 which is the day plus another 7 is 21. 7-14-21. Super cool we think. It's been a lil stressful lately cause we aren't getting a final count and we have 2 weeks to turn it in so that's a lil stressful. As well as some of our guest that either just them or plus 1 are not plus4 or 5. Definitely should've put something on the invitation regarding how many plus 1 people can have or guest jumped from around 56 to 100 very quick.

OMG that is really NOT good (rude)! I spent extra postage to provide an "inside" envelope on which I listed the actual people invited (we really didn't give plus ones to any family who weren't living together or engaged ~ including FH niece who is "going steady" ~ mind you a graduating High School senior who is about to go off to college & live with her boyfriend ~ her parents bought a condo for her! ~ they have been "dating for not a year yet ~ when did THAT become a "thing"? OR my youngest daughter who has "been seeing" a girl for about a year). Our thoughts were "covid crazy world" keep it small!

So sorry your guest list mushroomed without your "permission"! We have 10 days before our RSVP's are due & only have about 4 couples who we haven't heard back from & we stand at 30 for our count (& only invited 50) ~ so not anything like you experienced.
