Couples getting married on July 25, 2020

Lexie, on July 30, 2019 at 10:39 PM Posted in Planning 7 55
Hello, Fellow July 25ers! Just curious where you’re all at in your planning processes? My fiancé Sam and I are having a pretty chill backyard wedding, but I still have a lot to do and I’m feeling a little nervous about getting everything done, even despite the fact that we have a whole year. 😂

    Hi there Lexie!

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Smiley smile

Will the wedding be in your own backyard or did you have to book a venue? What have you checked off the to-do list so far?

Hi we have the church and hall booked. Our dj baker photographer photo booth and musicians during the ceremony are booked as well. I am trying to find a caterer that isn't expensive. I have talked to a couple florists that sound good. This is all overwhelming i have a coordinator but I am doing most of the planning now cause i like being organized and we want to pay it off as soon as possible. I want to loose some weight but I saw a dress online i like on jjshouse i ordered a bridesmaid dress there before and it was good quality. They take your measurements and everything.

I have our venue chosen. I just found my dress and veil. I'm making our reception decorations so have started making those. Researching caterers, florist and cake makers

Heyyy so we have our venue booked and that provides caterer and open bar. Found and purchased my dress. Next focus coming up for us is finding center pieces for the tables and other decorations since we are DIYing... Researching photographers now to book as soon as we can. I feel like there's plenty of time but at the same time not enough! Lol

    Hi Lexie!

We are also having a backyard wedding (his aunt's property) and plan on it being chill but starting to feel overwhelmed just the same! We have our DJ and have started researching rentals, hotels, and catering. We're debating whether we should spend money on a wedding planner or just the month-of coordinator.

    Congratulations, everyone!

I found my dress about a month ago and we just booked the venue (which includes the catering and open bar) and photographers this weekend. FH found his wedding band and I'll most likely use my grandmother's wedding band that was passed down to my mother as my band. Next, I'll probably start looking for a dress for my MOH.

We recently went from a September 2020 wedding date to July 2020. Even though it should be plenty of time, the stress from googling every single thought can be a bit much.

Anywho, we've finally decided on a venue (Destination Wedding). My dilemma now - I'm planning about 10 guests (4 couples) - how do I plan a nice ceremony. To seat or not to seat? If seating, how to seat a small group but still look nice? Should the two individuals (maid of honor/best man) in the wedding party sit? Decisions, decisions right? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :-) And to think, I haven't even looked at a dress yet.... yikes!

We had originally planned for a December 2020 wedding, but when our venue didn't have a date available that wasn't the weekend of Thanksgiving or Christmas, we decided to do a Christmas (Winter) in July! Smiley smile We have venue, caterer, dress, bridal party, and photographer booked. Meeting with the officiant next week, and waiting to hear back from the DJ. Otherwise... little things that I know will come together but still make me anxious!

    Congratulations ladies!

I'm having a destination wedding in Key West on a sailboat. I booked the sailboat ceremony and reception (cocktail party). My venue includes the Ceremony, DJ, Open Bar and Appetizers for 65 guests while watching the sunset. I'm a little nervous now about the decorations and photography and scared to send my invitations via wedding wire because it might not be nice or have good grammar. Ugh... I'll need to figure that out. The day after Thanksgiving I go look at dresses with my sister, bff, and future sister in law and mother in law. Once I buy my dress I'll start looking for a cake, and decorations. Best wishes ladies!

    Congratulations to all!!
Originally planned for a November 2020 wedding and decided to move it to July 2020. I’m excited and overwhelmed at the same time. The church (where we met) has been booked, the restaurant for the intimate dinner reception for immediate family and the bridal party only has been booked, the girls have their dresses, I have purchased my dress and accessories, the photographer and florist has been booked. Researching hair and mua’s at the moment. I feel like there is time but not enough time still so much to do.......🥴😩

    Hi Ladies
Congratulations to all of you. After reading all of the other brides progress, I feel behind. I’m getting married in White House Jamaica. I have my venue, caterer, planner in place. My creative and artistic friends are assisting with my table decor, bouquet, and wedding arch! I’m very nervous and overwhelmed!

Im trying to create the Wedding Wire website with guest accommodations however the City isn’t coming up and I can’t save the details of this cute Inn where I’ve blocked rooms!!! 🥴 Frustration setting in! I’ve got to get this done.

    Hi Ladies!

I have a dress, my bridesmaids purchased their dresses and reception venue is booked. My room block is also secured for my out of town guests and bridal party that will need hotel accommodations. I just ordered my save the dates to send out and in research mode for everything else. A lot of amenities are included in my venue such as floral, decor and a cake so that's a few less things to worry about. We're just about 7 months out!

    Happy planning to you all

We have the venue and church booked, Catholic marriage prep classes done, DJ and photographer booked, wedding party figured out, and my dress purchased. We had engagement photos taken and are now working on our guest list. I've been pretty chill about planning but I feel like I should be doing more right now. We still need to figure out bridesmaid dresses, flowers, and our registry among other things...

We're completely finished with the planning process! All that's left to do is last minute things: favors, accessories, etc. Now we can breath and relax until the day comes!!

Yes, sadly, we're thinking of doing the same. We thought about being sneaky and getting married in the courthouse, but word just came out that courthouse weddings are postponed until April here. Who knows if the date will continue to get pushed back. ☹️
