- have a discussion with your fiance about your budget and what you would like your day to be like, come to an agreement about the major things (size of event, time)- start looking at venues! Since your date is fairly far away, a lot of venues aren't booked for that day yet. That means you might have more availability (and more options) than if you booked a year in advance- if it's a feasible option for you, maybe sign up for premarital counseling. Even if you've been together forever, it could be a good way to become even more in tune with each other.
