Haha just a little with friends traveling internationally to us😅. Although in 20 days who knows what could change. I’m just glad we are below the 3 week mark even if it’s just by a day 🙌🏻

March 28 bride getting married in Lancaster, Pa
As of right now everything is still a go, but the restaurant hosting out rehearsal dinner has canceled and shut down for two weeks.
Panicking isn’t even the word I could use right now!I work for the federal government and I’m nervous a stop movement will go in effect for personal travel for civilian employees. At this point, Department of Defense has already issued a stop movement for military members. This is just awful! I’ve had 4 people cancel, and 90% of people involved and coming to my wedding are military and government employees. If a stop movement goes into effect for civilian government Department of Defense employees than my wedding will be postponed. I live in Maryland and my wedding is in Pennsylvania.

Welp we may be postponing to October but we will still get married on the 28th. We have too many of our wedding guests being impacted by this ban 😫. We will make the final call on Monday

Just corresponded with my venue yesterday. So far, we're on.
We have had 9 guests cancel on us, but we've also gained a couple guests. They had travel plans, and cancelled them and asked if it was ok to come.
Picked up an extra bottle of soap yesterday, hoping to find some Purell to set on the bar.
Just waiting to see if we have to reschedule our honeymoon at mid/end of April.

Our wedding is also on March 28th in Washington, DC and we just decided to postpone. We feel like a huge weight has been lifted now that the decision has been made. My parents are in their 70s and would be traveling from Michigan, and we just couldn't justify the potential risk of one of them or our other older/more infirm guests getting sick. We were also worried that guests would feel pressured to travel when they normally wouldn't want to (at least half of our guests are from out of town and will be flying in) and we also didn't want the worry hanging over everyone's heads during the reception. We want everyone to feel comfortable and just have fun at our reception!

We're still going to get married on the 28th (just us two in a "self-unifying" ceremony that you can do here in DC) and then will have the reception later... probably in late summer or early fall when the virus has hopefully died down with the warmer weather. All of our vendors have been very understanding and have been willing to apply our deposits to the future date, which was a HUGE relief!

Stay strong out there! And most importantly, stay healthy! This has been a super stressful time for all of us with weddings on the horizon!

Is anyone else postponing or cancelling their wedding because of coronavirus?

We are emailing all vendors right now to reschedule. Our venue only has a few 2020 dates open.
    This is absolutely awful!

We made the decision today to postpone. Still planning on getting married on the 28th with a small ceremony of family and close friends, and then having the “bigger day” in probably December. Luckily all of our vendors have been amazing. Who would have ever thought we’d all be dealing with this insanity 2 weeks before our weddings? Good luck to everyone and I hope you all have an incredible day, whenever you decide to have it.

I keep trying to remind myself that there are worse things than having to postpone my wedding due to Covid-19... haha i'm actually not as sad or upset as i thought i would be! Cheers to being almost wedding date twins; may these set of circumstances bring us good luck and a wonderful married life Smiley smile Smiley heart

It's a bummer that it looks like we will postponing our wedding too from the 28th to we aren't even sure yet when our new date will be. May? June? Will things be settled by then? I haven't confirmed with my venue on the possibility of changing the date yet once again (I've changed it 3 times already). My other vendors are very flexible with date change. My entire wedding was DIY by me and I just finished everything and about to walk down the aisle and now it gets pushed again. My fiance is a truck driver, over the road, so I have to plan according to when he would be scheduled home and that's not easy. I'm so sad and angry at the same time. I wish everyone the best and we will get through this.
