Couples getting married on May 6, 2023

Hi date twin!

I think that we have a pretty good start to our planning since our plans had changed so much during covid. We have a venue and I have a second venue in mind just in case. We have the food, cake and the flowers situated. I ordered my dress and today I ordered different sleeves for my dress that will be more appropriate for Spring. I have to find a photographer now and decide on a color scheme.

OOOhhhh, stunning dress! I finally got hotels to talk to me about blocks. In my book, it's never too early to plan stuff, but ....... anyway, that is now done. Our Travel Agent just gave us prices for the 2 cruises we are interested in for a honeymoon, so no to figure all that out. FUN!

Alaska Cruise Tour (land and cruise) or the Italian Riviera are the 2 we narrowed down to. LOL Like, extremes, right? We live on the Gulf coast of Florida, and our beach has been voted #1 or #2 of all beaches in the U.S. , so doing and island cruise just doesn't appeal to us a whole lot. That being said, our T/A found an awesome cruise to the "A,B,C" islands...... the itinerary doesn't grab me, but our accommodations on the ship would be a junior suite. ::::gasp:::: So lots to think about. Have you guys started thinking Honeymoon places?

Sounds like you have a tough choice there! All of your options sound great! We were booked to get married on a cruise or in Bermuda (July 2023) but they cancelled our booking because they aren't going to be doing weddings until further notice so we cancelled our cruise which would have been our honeymoon too. Now we're thinking about renting a cabin in the Adirondacks.

I ordered our new save the dates from The Knot and after talking it over we decided on our wedding colors. We're going with burgundy and ivory. I might add more colors to the palette like mint, dusty blue or lavender but we'll see what happens.

View Quoted Comment Oh by “we” I meant me and my girls. 🤣 My FH would just go along with whatever I wanted. 🤣 Our venue is a historical masonry building and the interior of the walls are all gray stones. That’s what I love most about the building. What is your venue like?

It is a Yacht Club that rents space to non-members. We are getting married on the outdoor patio, and the reception is in the event room. Water views is what sold me. Perfect for our beach-theme wedding.

I canceled my previous save the date order with The Knot. It started to bug me almost as soon as I ordered them. I just felt like they weren’t a great fit with my “vision” for our wedding. So now we are going with these 👆🏻 and I feel so much better! 399 days to go!

Thank you - it was our compromise to a beach wedding .... I really wanted it and he was like, NO way, sand. LOLOL So I get my 'water' and he gets solid ground under his feet.

But, I have been watching this site for a while and it seems they always run really good sales. I LOVE that you can order a free sample ---- even after you personalize it ---- so you can see before you buy. Did that with the magnet, and I was super happy.

I ordered our cake topper tonight from Etsy. I know that it’s way too early but it’s the one that I’ve wanted for months now. And I ordered acrylic save the date magnets on Etsy too. 😊 Anyone else have an Etsy addiction? 🤣
