Hi date twins! Is anyone else receiving criticism for setting their date so far away? Have you guys started to really plan anything so far or just enjoying being engaged? When do you think you’ll start to book vendors and stuff?

    Too early?! That’s crazy! We’ve been together for 8.5 years and everyone is like “why would you want to wait even longer?!” But I’m going back to school and don’t want to stress so much between that and wedding planning.

    Have you started brainstorming venues or anything? There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking some time to enjoy just being engaged! Smiley laugh

    Chris, I have a venue in mind - just waiting for a call back so we can schedule an appointment to go look! I wonder if most vendors are good with booking 2 years ahead?

    We’ve only been engaged for a month now but glad to have the venue + catering booked already. I already signed the contract for the photographer and videographer. Right now I’m deciding if I should hire a violinist for ceremony and cocktail hour for $350. I heard flowers for the bouquets and set up can be costly so I’m pondering if I should just DIY.

    You’re doing good! We got engaged 6/7/18. I have all that stuff booked too. I was going to do DIY Sola Wood Flowers but I feel like I wouldn’t have time to do it. Im gonna get a quote from a florist and then decide. I’m hoping it’ll be under $1000 😬
