Hello ladies! My fiance and I just set our venue/date for 10/10/20. We're having an intimate ceremony followed by a dinner at a riverside restaurant.

    Hi Alexis,

Your post was exactly what I needed this morning. Our wedding was all set for 10/10/20, but with Covid and travel restrictions we have discussed postponing at this point. It makes me so sad, because I had it all planned out! We have discussed the same in getting legally married on 10/10/20 and postponing the actual ceremony/reception to 10/10/21.

That's what we're planning on doing as well. I'm just worried that people will think its weird since we're already married.

    Hello Diamond,

I completely understand that. I am really saddened that we have to move our wedding, but your date of 10/10/2021 is actually a really cool one. I am trying to tell myself that things will be better because we have another year to make sure everything is set! We are all in this together.

Hi All we are getting married 10/10/20 at a park here in New Jersey’s with a small 30 guest invite only reception....everything has been moving so quick as I just got engaged in august, lol and I’m a little behind and need to get my invites out ASAP.... lol having a little trouble with the print so trying now to switch to an evite.... that’s probably not the best etiquette wise but with all the virus of things and NJ just now really starting to open up.... I’m making things work where I can...

Well, 32 days as of waking up tomo. I have 60 guests and hardly any family. But I have to be ok with that. Family has to cross a state line to attend and well... COVID is crap. Excuse me but I'm over it. Anyway, I have lots of little tasks, last minute meetings and finalized plans to arrange. We havent and won't give up this date. 2years in the making and we're saying yes to forever. 2020 have thrown us all curve balls including my father's passing last week but one thing I planned this year will happen!!! I will say I DO to the man that showed me how I am to be loved!

    Hi everyone!

I was originally planning on 10/10/20 for my big wedding but pushing everything back to 2021 b/c of covid19. The big wedding ceremony & reception in 2021. But recently, we decided that instead of just legally getting married on 10/10/20, we're going to have an intimate ceremony of 8ppl, maybe 10 max. But now I'm stressing big time because I stopping planning midway since we decided to postpone and fiance said he'll do most of the planning because started a new job (yea, that didn't go very smoothly). 29 days left and I still have EVERYTHING TO PLAN since we're not using our original venues.

Thinking of doing it in a national park...we're in northeast Ohio. But haven't scouted out the area yet to find the perfect spot. New shorter dress purchased...hopefully arrives in time. Shoe purchased. Still need to do flowers, cake, groom tux, decide on colors, officiant (maybe ask a friend?), understand better on how to get legally married- think everything is on zoom and can't even go to courthouse bc its closed, hair, makeup, accessories, and most importantly, photographer. I think our original photographer may be booked on our original date, fingers crossed they get back to us soon. Also have to deal with family arrangements, the cultural traditions they require, events on day of wedding. It's a microwedding but its just a downsized version of what we will be repeating in a year's time since both side of family were against us eloping or to the idea of destination wedding, and we didn't want to do a courthouse ceremony only.

Thanks for listening gals, just needed to vent my stress. I feel like I'm scrambling and dropping so many balls since it seem like poor time management. But so many things have changed last minute due to covid19.

We just got our rings this week. I haven’t gotten jewelry for the day of yet but we have pretty much finalized our vows. It’s so much stress right now but If all goes well it will be well worth it. Good luck to you! You got this!

We are still moving towards our big day in Georgia on 10/10/2020...25 days to go! We've been together for over 3 years and live 70 miles apart. This is his first marriage at 51 and my second at 49...so we are not waiting one more day! We've been thrown lots of COVID-related and other curves...we lost our original venue, we know many people on our list won't be able to attend due to distance or fear of getting sick, one of our two photographers won't be able to take pictures that day due to personal illness, my mother passed away after a long illness 3 weeks ago, and my fiance and I are just recovering from COVID. But this is teaching me not to sweat the small stuff. (Not that losing my mother is "small stuff." Losing a loved one during COVID is about the worst thing I can think of, and to top it off, I tested positive the day she passed away and was just able to see and hug my Dad for the first time this weekend...three weeks after her death. But I know she would want us to move forward with our day, and I know she is healed and with the Lord at this very moment.) At the end of the day, we will be married. If our minister gets sick, we'll just find another. If our caterer gets sick, we'll pick-up what we can at the last minute, and people can go get a bite afterwards. If someone in our wedding party gets sick, we will move forward because that's what they want us to do. We began 2020 with my daughter's wedding...we got it in just before the world fell apart on 2/22/2020, and we plan to try to salvage this awful year with our special day on 10/10/2020.

Here are things we are letting our guests know we are doing to keep them safe: The room where the ceremony will be held will hold 800 people, so there will be plenty of room for our guests (likely around 150) to sit with those they came with and social distance; rather than have our reception in an enclosed room, we are having it in the downstairs hallways of the church which are wide with tall ceilings. We will be able to spread the tables out down different areas of the hallway, and we plan to set-up a few tables outside under a covered area for those who will feel more comfortable with outside air; We are providing masks for those who don't bring their own to be worn when people can't be 6 feet apart; We will have hand sanitizer available everywhere; Our food is buffet-style finger foods, cake, cupcakes, and drinks, but everything will be served by servers with masks and gloves; and last but not least, both my fiance and I have had the virus, so guests can feel comfortable being near us since we won't make them sick, and they won't make us sick. (Not taking this virus lightly, but just trying to make lemonade out of lemons!) We will be informing all of our guests of these measures so they can make their decisions, and we are letting them know that we completely understand if they make the choice not to attend. Everyone has to do what is right for them. We're not sure if we'll be able to record the ceremony of do a Facebook Live, but if we can, we will. We know there are many who would be there if it weren't for the virus.

Good luck, all my 10/10 ladies. Love wins...take that, COVID! :-)

Thanks! So happy we did it. It's over, it was great, and I loved it. It wasn't perfect but its better than a civil ceremony and I wanted to marry "my person" for the longest ever Smiley heart We're so wedding out that we haven't done much planning for our bigger celebration planning since the 10/10 wedding. Congrats to everyone who did it and had a great wedding on 10/10/20 and to the ones that pushed it back, it will be great. No matter how stressful it is leading up to it and trying to balance work/life/planning, it will all work out and feel worth it when you look back, lol.

We postponed our big wedding until next fall, but we went ahead with a tiny legal ceremony in my mom's backyard. (This is the only picture I took at the very end of the evening as we were starting to break everything down)
Then we took a mini-moon to a tiny cabin in a state parkCouples getting married on October 10, 2020 3
We can't wait for next year so we can celebrate with all our friends & family

We're married! Our day was as perfect as a day in 2020 could be, and we're so glad we pushed through all of the obstacles that came our way. There were some people who were unable to attend, but they and we understood, and they wanted us to go ahead. We were married in a large indoor space, and we and our guests took every precaution to be safe. It's been almost 2 weeks now, and we haven't heard of anyone who attended getting sick. Congratulations to all my fellow 10/10 brides who also tied the knot that day, and just know that I am rooting for all of you who had to change your date. Whenever you finally have your day, it will be just what it should be. Enjoy every moment, and try not to sweat the small stuff. What's important is being joined with the one you love!
