Couples getting married on October 22, 2022

Tiffany, on October 7, 2019 at 2:39 PM Posted in Planning 8 32
Hello I am newly engaged as of Sunday Sept. 29th. Wanted to chat with other couples that have chosen the same day to get married. Have you started planning? Or is it too soon?

I'd hold off planning until October 2020-May 2021. I think you'll have a hard time finding venues and vendors that will book 3 years out. You could probably decide on things like budget and start a guest list, look at venues online, etc. but I'd think that would be it.

I know its a little more than 2 years till the big day, but I am excited. I started "pre-planning".

Not booking anything, just getting quotes so we can figure out a budget.

I figure get it all out the way so when the time comes to actually book things, i"ll be prepared and won't be over stressed.

So far the only thing I’ve done is scheduled to tour a venue and picked my bridesmaids. I have a lot of ideas but haven’t really acted on much.

Ive just started on some basics, looking into venues and thinking through the guest list, and looking for inspiration and ideas. Its too early i think to actually set too many things in stone but its never too early to get the smaller things out of the way!

We got engaged in June and are taking it slow with the planning. We did book our venue and with COVID pushing everyone out in 2020, our venue owner actually recommended booking early. Dates are filling up fast.

Engaged October 28, 2020 and started planning immediately. Living in Atlanta, but planning a Philadelphia wedding and the historic/museum venues in the city have started booking for fall 2022!

I’ve started planning! I put the deposit down on my venue since a lot of people were saying how 2020 and 2021 brides were already booking into 2022 because of COVID. I also have a zoom meeting with a photographer this weekend. I haven’t asked my bridesmaids yet but I’m almost done making their “proposals.” I’m also just super excited and definitely don’t need to be planning this early. But I’m also a DIY decor bride so the sooner I book my vendors, the sooner I can get going on that. 😊

Got engaged two weeks ago. We have talked about October being the month for a year, originally it was going to be next year but we decided to hold off. Starting to look at venues and get that locked in, a lot of places in my area are booking up quickly.

This is so cool that this app shows all the other brides too! So excited for all of us getting married on this date 🤍

Got engaged 2 months ago and booking our venue tomorrow. This is our daring anniversary date so we are lucky that the numbers look good and it’s on a Saturday!

My Date is 10/22/2022 because well it's my favorite number (22) and it's the same date as my birthday. It'll also make it easier for my beloved to remember our anniversary. He proposed on my birthday May 22nd 2020. I IMMEDIATELY started planning. We both have big families, but my family is in a different state, so I wanted to nail down whether or not we would have two weddings, one wedding and two receptions, or one wedding and if so where! I narrowed it down to at least starting to plan one wedding in our current state because that would be easier to plan than finding vendors/venues in a state you don't live in. I wanted to also find a venue that would have a payment plan or something lenient for us. I can't drop $10k whenever I want Smiley sad Depending on how many details there are to cover, I love planning ahead, but I'm keeping in mind that the tiny details don't have to be planned just yet. I'm only taking care of the main pieces. Venue, Photographer, Location, one or multiple weddings/receptions and FOOD lol.

It’s definitely not too early! We already booked our venue and photographer/videographer. The photographer was a little bit of a jump ahead, I’ll admit but I love her work! I will say, all of the venues that we visited suggested trying to book the venue sooner rather than later because a lot of original 2020/2021 are already booking out to 2022 because of Covid and fall is insanely popular for weddings.

It’s never too early! Plus if you have everything planned it takes a lot of stress off! I got engaged on Halloween 2020 and have already booked our venue, drafted our guest list, in the process of choosing our bridal party and began dress shopping! I’ve already started talking to a DJ service and I’m about to reach out to a photographer to discuss details and book engagement sesh for the spring!

Hey! I just got engaged April 16, 2021 & we are planning for October 22,2022!! I’ve been looking at venues & some are already booked for our day. I just can’t get my FH to talk about wedding planning or booking a venue at least. I’m annoyed with him lol but if i make all the decisions without him he’s not going to be happy so idk what to do. I just need to book i already have what I want to do for our wedding.
