We're getting married near my home town. Any special significance with yalls date? I picked it because it will be our 10 year anniversary, so I was like easy peasy no anniversary changes lol.

It's in a huge ballroom//hotel with the ceremony taking place there. We have about 200 people on the guest list and a lot of out of town/ state guests coming in. Just found out today my FFIL booked the first room in the room block at the hotel, that was a little thrill lol. I know we are starting to pay vendors now, well the ones that will let us. Our photographer asked us if we could wait till 2020 to start paying her; I'm guessing for tax reasons.

Afternoon ceremony and then an indoor ballroom dinner reception. I'll be going next month to see some venues and hopefully lock down on one by the end of next month. I'm just trying to negotiate the minimums so we don't have a very big budget for the wedding and like you, we have about 200 people with a lot of relatives coming from out of the country. Any tips of negotiating?

View Quoted Comment I didnt really negotiate. We probably won't have the full 200 though and if we dont meet the minimum of 200 we are going to just have more appetizers and late night snacks. I loved my venue to much to negotiate lol

Venue is booked and that is about it for me
Im beyond nervous and freaking out already lol im known for the one always planning my nephews and nieces party from making centerpieces and decorations and setting up the candy table and boy is it hard planning a wedding lol my venue is Whittier California im going for a rustic theme and trying to do alot of DIY stuff and ideas or recommendations are welcomed

Hi, getting married on 9/12/2020. So far we've booked an all inclusive venue. We have a photographer/MC/Photobooth. I bought my dress/veil last week. We have yet to book a DJ. My fiance has lots of friends and family that are DJ so we will probably have a "friendor" DJ. Im still looking into flowers/decor. Not 100% on my color and wether or not i want flowers. Every expense gives me sticker shock!

This date was a surprise for us haha we originally wanted May 22 of 2021, but switched our date to fall of 2020. This was the last day that our venue had available!!
