Couples getting married on September 12, 2020

I can't believe it's July! What is everyone doing about their 9/12/20 wedding? We need to put down a big chunk of money this week and I am so unsure! We lowered our invite list to only 60 guests, expecting many won't attend. I honestly don't care if no one comes, I am just so ready to get married. I don't want to reschedule!! Anyone else just going for it?

View Quoted Comment We’re still going ahead and feel the same way, our 19 month engagement was long enough it’s time to get married! Our venue capacity got cut to 50 people and we’ve been talking to them about restrictions, but everything looks like we’ll be okay and luckily we didn’t have to cut too many guests. Good luck!

Yes we are too! I can't wait. We have been engaged since January of 2019. I'm ready to be married and we want to start a family soon after we marry. So postponing to us has never really been an option we have even considered. The venue capacity was changed to 288 (i don't understand the math of that one). But it doesn't matter for us since we only invited 160. And are looking at around 140 actually showing maybe. I had my first dressing fitting this weekend and though I have lost weight since buying my dress my abs are bigger from working out so now my dress needs to let out. But all is good otherwise!!

View Quoted Comment We had to change our venue due to COVID and they didn’t have our date, so we had to change dates. We’re having an outdoor wedding on September 4th. We cut our guest list down by 70 people and only expect maybe half of the 125 we have invited. Either way, the people who are supposed to be there will be and I’ll be marrying my best friend!

Yay! September 4th is such a pretty date, it was my first choice, but we couldn't get the outdoor venue :-D I know it will be a beautiful day for you and the people who are supposed to be there (love that!)

I am getting married on September 18, although we are getting a little concerned with it approaching soon with Covid.

I must say this has been a rollercoaster.I told my FH yesterday after marriage counseling, I might not have my dream wedding, but I have my dream man!

View Quoted Comment Thank you!! Between COVID and wondering who may or may not be there, it was starting to become stressful, so that’s the mindset I had to adopt and stick with. Things are working themselves out and we’re down to the final details now. Getting more and more excited!!

We had to limit to 30 guests... everything is up in the air. our venue said she would let us know asap if we will have to cancel at the venue... its getting down to crunch time. im freaking out. naturally.

View Quoted Comment Same boat here! We met with venue, they said half capacity of the room which was fine for us since our list was only 100 (invited) and the room can hold 200 at half capacity. I sent out invites and then they call me last week saying only 50p as of right now...they seem optimistic but honestly who can give a set answer at this point?? We’ve only ever had 100 people, didn’t cut or anything and we haven’t paid anything other than deposit so a month out we see how many people responded and literally wing it then. Beyond nervous, hoping for the best. I’m located WNY, our cases are so low I’m praying Cuomo raises the guest amount to at least 75-80. Hang in there ladies!!

Other than being completely stressed out! I think I’m doing good. I’m usually cool calm and collective because I’m a Wedding Planner. But planning your own wedding in the middle of a Pandemic is crazy! 35 days to go ladies
