Couples getting married on September 23, 2022

Heather, on August 5, 2022 at 4:53 PM Posted in Planning 2 14
Only 48 days away and I’m freaking out a little!!
I’ve been planning on my own and have everything booked but just trying to make sure I don’t miss the small stuff too. Since it’s only my brain really overseeing things. Anyone have any advice or tips. Or just tell me where you are at this stage of planning. Anything will help! 😅😅

Hey beautiful! I know how you feel. My wedding is still a ways off, but I’ve already booked everything and I have pretty much all of my small details. The best advice I can give you is to go onto Pinterest and get a decor checklist off of there. Go through it and see if there is anything you’re missing or wanting to include on your big day. You have all the big things done which is a major part of the battle. Now you get to breathe, decide on the little things, and then trust your team to put your vision together the day of. You got this.

Ahh!!! Fellow 09/23/22 bride here. Can't you believe it?!?! We're so close!!!!!!!!!

We have a wedding planner so it's a little different and yet, there are so many small littles left to do. I recently created a MASTER list of everything, I mean EVERYTHING, that is pending. Include subpoints, steps to accomplish those things, get really, really granular. It might feel overwhelming at first, but it helps in the moments your brain goes uhhh what am I doing? (this happens to me often lol) Then, organize by priority level. Like the things that absolutely MUST get done or else it will be kind of an issue (music? payments? anything). It sounds like you already have that taken care of but write it all out in front of you for piece of mind. Priority Level B tasks (lol) will get accomplished too, but now you know for certain that the absolute musts are taken care of. Also, it will relieve anxiety the closer you get to the date. Oh, CALENDARS EVERYWHERE.

Are you getting a month of or day of coordinator? Perhaps you can ask her for some kind of list or template that you can work off of? If not, can you ask your vendors for something like that? Your photographer is also an excellent resource since they literally see and document everything.

No matter what, it's going to be incredible! You got this!!!!!

    Hi!

I am right there with you! I don’t Have any adviceLol but I’m Getting married on 9/22! Can’t believe it’s almost here!! I just finished ordering all my decor which I’m happy about. We are working through vendor meetings at this point to finalize day of timelines and ensure everyone has everything they need! I feel like I keep writing so many to do lists over and over again. I have a master to do list and then I think I’m going to re write and do another one broken down week by week since we are about 6 weeks out! Hoping I don’t miss anything as well!

You girls are angels!! Thanks so much for the advice! Also congratulations on all your upcoming weddings. We will get through this 😅😅

Any help on timeline for a 530 ceremony?? I keep switching it up and changing my mind on when the first dance should be / other things. Our sunset pictures are timed during dinner. I’m just trying to utilize the time to fit in everything before last guest departs at 1030. HELP A SIS OUT!! Lol I’m all over the place.

Congratulations!! We are wedding date buddies 😆 I dnt have any tips but I am interested in any other fellow brides suggesting tips for a timeline as my mass is @ 5pm & then its about a 35-45 min drive to the venue 🫠. We have the venue until “11:59pm” but still I am constantly thinking about traffic, dinner time, cake time & @ the same time get to dance & enjoy our day 😅

The struggle is real! Our ceremony time is at 530 and while our ceremony and reception is at the same location I am still struggling fitting in everything, while wanting to dance and fun myself.

Yayy so exciting, I’m getting married 9/23 as well! We are getting so excited and of course I am a bit more nervous than he is. Just finishing up the last minute details and making sure we get all of our RSVP’s in. I always feel like I’m missing a task but trying to stay positive and enjoy the process😂 I am also in the same situation as you with my ceremony time being 5:30pm. Any timeline advice would be greatly appreciated💗

Are you doing your first dance before or after dinner? I am conflicted. I don’t want all the dances to be all at once so I wanted to break them up but also didn’t want the first dance to run into sunset picture time.

I have my first dance on my timeline for 7:05pm and dinner will be around 7:15ish. After dinner we have Mother/ Son and Father/ Daughter and then a few fun dances a bit later on.
