Couples getting married on September 5, 2020 in California

Vanessa, on April 4, 2019 at 8:17 PM Posted in California Planning 2 5

Hi! Congrats to all the 9/5/2020 brides out there, happy to be in your camp! Question, have you heard any push-back from family or friends about having your wedding day on Labor Day Weekend? Personally, I feel like anyone who would rather take a holiday weekend trip over attending our wedding is only doing me the favor of lowering headcount/cost! Curious if anyone else has dealt with this yet. Smiley heart

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Vanessa Smiley heart

    Congratulations on your engagement!

I'm so happy that you're looking for your date twins!

While you're waiting for them to join in, you should introduce yourself to Jazzime!

Jazzime isn’t in California, but they share the same wedding date as you! You guys should connect with each other - Couples getting married on September 5, 2020 in Georgia

Will you have many out-of-town guests?

We’re not date twins (sorry!) but I can somewhat speak as a bridesmaid that had to attend a wedding during Memorial Day weekend when I already had plans. Let your guests know and/or send save-the-dates a little earlier than what websites suggest! Long story short, a lack of communication from the bride almost cost me a lot of $$$

    Hi Vanessa,

A fellow 9/5/20 bride over here!!! We actually booked our Sacramento venue back in August 2018. All of our close friends that we regularly see, already have that date penciled in their calendars. Smiley smile I luckily haven't had any push back yet. (I don't think any airlines even allow you to book that far in advance yet). Since a lot of our friends travel frequently, we might be looking into sending out save the dates to our a-list group in September. I hope this gives them enough notice before they start booking their travel plans for 2020.

Curious to learn about any updates about your date?! We are contemplating a California wedding but on the Monday (Labor Day) we already know 90% of our guest are from the east coast so they may have to take time off anyways! We plan to give them at least 12 months notice

I am also planning to get married on September 5, 2020! I also plan to give at least 12 months notice and send out save the dates this September.

I am going to do an outdoor wedding in Los Angeles and I'm really worried there might be a heat wave that weekend..... does anyone remember what the weather was like last year?
