FH and I live in SoCal, so we go to Vegas about 2x per year. But one day, while watching TV, we very randomly decided to have a DW in Las Vegas. We’ll have about 60 guests.

View Quoted Comment Well speaking of sexy and glam… We selected a venue inside of the Luxor called “The Velvet Room“. 😉 It’s a former nightclub with the 1920s/jazz/cotton club type of vibe (even though we’re not doing a themed wedding). But we loved how there were two distinctly colored and uniquely designed rooms. So our ceremony will be in their Red velvet room and the reception will be in the Blue velvet room. Cocktail hour will occur in the bar area and the decor there is also a blue and throughout there’s nice dark colored wood. So it definitely sets a mature type of mood (adult only event).

So on having fun with the room colors, FH and I will be changing accents of our attire. For example: he’s going to change his jacket from red at the ceremony, to a blue jacket for the reception. I’m going to change my jewelry color, shoes, hair accessories and rhinestone dress sash to blue for the reception.

Well that sounds like a fun wedding weekend. It’s quickly approaching, so that’s exciting!

We hoped to invite about 80 people. But we were willing to cut our list down in order to fit the 66 that the reception room holds, because we liked it so much. Our only plan so far is for our guests to meet at Top Golf on Friday night. Then the wedding is on Saturday.
