Hi. My sis & the MOH suggested the idea of throwing a "couples" shower for us. My FW is thrilled. I wouldn't say I am LOL. I didn't know it was a thing. I can't picture this ... but I'm fine with this. Why not since we are untraditional? I'm curious: Has anyone thrown one for a couple or...

Hi.

My sis & the MOH suggested the idea of throwing a "couples" shower for us.

My FW is thrilled. I wouldn't say I am LOL. I didn't know it was a thing. I can't picture this ... but I'm fine with this. Why not since we are untraditional?

I'm curious: Has anyone thrown one for a couple or experienced one as a fiance or guest? What did you do?

You can always say you prefer not, and they will give her a regular shower.
When a Br and groom grow up together, or date 3-5 years so all of their friends know each other well, a couples shower, just women guests but for the couple, OR all couples for the couple can be fun. They are horrible when they don't. High on the list of most miserable hours of my life was a shower by couples of FI family in his age group, and family friends. I knew nobody. Not the women, not the men, not most of his many sisters because I had only been at 2 group dinners at his parents. We had zip in common. Fi looked like he wa chewing broken glass for 2.5 hours, minus the time eating. The food was great. But the nature of a shower is you open one gift at a time, and chat while you do. Intimate friends, fun. Not? Awful.
