My advice would be to skip the park reception and find a nice restaurant. Most public parks don't allow alcohol, bringing in food will be a mess, and if you want to set anything up even as small as music you might need a permit. In our county, you schedule an appointment for the courthouse and then go get your marriage license. You can't decorate it and its mostly back to back so make sure everyone's prepared.

How many guests are you thinking of hosting? Would all of your guests be attending both the ceremony and the reception?

Agree with what Jessica said. And you don't necessarily have to do it at the courthouse, you could get an officiant and elope somewhere scenic, or get an officiant to marry you at your reception space. Keeping things small and simple pays off.

So this is what i was thinking. Our immediate family in the courthouse(such as parents and siblings). Then we head to the reception and our bridesmaid and grooms men, etc. Is going to walk with us down the aisle once we arrive and play our fav music. There will be our pic video playing that we just did at the courthouse.

I'm not sure the weather in Arizona around April or any other time at that BUT, a public park could be a nice setting. You'll have to do some research, but some public parks do have community centers or clubhouses that allow alcohol to be served by a licensed bartender. You could have a lovely ceremony and reception all in one place and bring in your own vendors for caterer, dj, etc. Also if there are any weather concerns you either have a nice indoor area so no worries or can pay to use the indoor as a backup plan.

Make sure you get any relevant permits or reservations. It would suck if the police busted you guys or someone else grabbed your ramada! Get a permit if you want to play your tunes, as some places don't let you use amplified music.

I'd suggest getting some kind of caterer so you and the family don't have to take care of the food.

It's really hard to have to do so much yourself on the day of your own wedding, because you'll be a lot busier than you think. And the more you can outsource, the more you'll enjoy it. But it can work. It's your wedding and most family and friends want to help out in my experience.
