Hi y’all. My fiancé is in the military and we are leaning towards doing a courthouse wedding this September (2018) and then doing a huge wedding where all our friends and family can be there next September (2019). I feel so uneasy because I’m uncertain of what would be said at the big wedding.......

Hi y’all.
My fiancé is in the military and we are leaning towards doing a courthouse wedding this September (2018) and then doing a huge wedding where all our friends and family can be there next September (2019).
I feel so uneasy because I’m uncertain of what would be said at the big wedding.... would it be a vow renewal? Would it be our official big wedding? What happens in that situation??
Anyone done this before???

Of course! We are going to do all the regular stuff said at ours, we're just going to write vows. We'll be treating it like our one and only wedding day.

Seems I ruffled some feathers. 😂 Sorry about that. This will be my second time doing a courthouse marriage and an official one, we just said the same stuff at the actual wedding that we did in the courthouse. We'll just be writing our own vows. If there are any laws as to what can or can't be said, look into them, but that wasn't an issue my first go. Everyone knows we're legally married but they're also treating our wedding that they're going to as our real one. 🤷 Again, so whatever you want. I'm still putting "you're invited to the wedding of" on the invites and whatnot.
