Courthouse wedding in nj

Roni, on September 20, 2020 at 3:24 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 1
Hello ladies,
So we decided to postpone a 2nd time but we are still going to get married. In order for family to attend we have decided to have it in NJ since the restrictions there are more strict.
I have tried calling the courthouses in NJ but people give me the run around. Ladies if you live in NJ and have gotten a marriage license and a courthouse wedding can you please fill me in? 1. What information do we need to get. A marriage license since we live out of state?2. Can we do courthouse weddings with Covid? And any other advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Ronise! Since neither of you are NJ residents, you'll need to apply for a license in the municipality where you'll be getting married.

I'm not sure about courthouse weddings during covid, my guess is that you'll need to reach out to courthouses individually for their policies!
