Covering up a tattoo?

Sharyl, on September 21, 2019 at 2:12 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5
Has anyone covered up their tattoos with make up during your big day? And does it last all night? I have a tattoo behind my neck that not a lot of people know about, especially my dad and other family members. I was thinking of doing an up-do or side swept curls, something different other than my regular everyday hairstyles but I don’t want my tattoo to be seen. I’ve never had to cover up my tattoo with make up. I’ve always kept my hair down around my parents and until now, my dad still doesn’t know after 14 years! He would be very upset because he is against it.

I would ask your MUA for advice, but would probably wear your hair in a low updo or something half up half down since the back of your neck can get pretty sweaty. I also believe that if you're old enough and mature enough to get married, you can own up to the decisions that you've made for your own body to your parents.

What are they gonna do, disown you?
If your family has issues with your tattoo, maybe pick a hairstyle to cover it or just let it show. Covering tattoos with makeup requires a lot of steps and isn’t cheap.

    Hey Sharyl Smiley smile

I would also recommend you speak to your makeup artist about the tattoo coverup and get his/her input.

You could always trial it before the wedding day to see how long it takes to wear off Smiley smile

Have you booked a makeup artist yet?

Yeah you’re right. I’ll ask when I book a make up artist. And no I haven’t not booked a make up artist yet. I’ll probably be searching one in the next month or two since my wedding isn’t until next October
